T
here is no need to stay
cooped up this winter with
6,000 square feet of trampo-
lines available to jump on in Idaho
Falls at the local trampoline park
called iJump.
The park has been around for
about a year and a half and was
the brainchild of Jake and Natalie
Lundquist, a husband and wife
who recently moved to Montreal,
Canada to start up a second iJump
location called iSaute (French for
iJump).
Since this is Idaho Falls, and it
is a very cold area in the winter, its
great for people to have something
fun to do indoors, said Brandon
Larson, iJump General Manager.
Larson said the park is made up
of 23 enormous trampolines, which
include a full size dodge ball court
as well as foam pits to jump or do
flips into.
Tough the park is the perfect
place for more extreme jumpers who
enjoy doing fips and tricks, it is also
a family friendly environment.
Every Monday iJump has a family
night with a special price of $30 for
immediate family. In addition, a
special area is dedicated to children
shorter than 48 inches so they can
have a safe place to jump. That sec-
tion is always open during business
hours.
For the smaller children there
is also a special time of the week
called Wee-Jump that occurs
every Thursday morning where
the whole park is open to chil-
dren under 48 inches. After their
admission, their parents can jump
for free to oversee the safety of
their children.
Attendees of the park are required
to fill out insurance waivers. Em-
ployees also explain the rules to
everyone before they enter the park.
Whenever somebody gets hurt
it is usually because they arent fol-
lowing the rules, explained Larson.
For jumpers who want to practice
skateboarding or snowboarding
tricks, jump boards are available for
rent. That way, boarders can test
out their moves before they hit the
slopes.
Also available for rent are party
rooms that can be used for birth-
days, work parties and other gather-
ings. Food and drinks are optional
to purchase. Besides that, the entire
facility can be rented out for special
events.
As Black Friday approaches, look
out for iJumps half-price deal. On
Nov. 29 the park will be giving away
100 half-price coupons through
Half Price Deals and local radio
stations.
Normally, the price is $10 for
those over 48 inches to get into the
park for the first hour and $6 for
every hour after that. For children
under 48 inches, the cost is $6 per
hour of jumping.
Larson said the best part of his
job at iJump is playing dodge ball
and jumping with the kids and
making their day.
There is nothing better than see-
ing them walk out of here thanking
you for playing with them, said
Larson. I hope people love our
facility so much that they want to
come back and bring 20 of their
friends with them the next time
they come because they had so
much fun here.
