This class has 3 objectives:
1. To ask students to look deeply into their lives: their past, their future, and how those two relate to one another
2. To guide students through the college application process and to demystify that process for the future
3. To help students take the first steps along the way to a successful, impressive, and satisfying senior project
Assignments:
Senior Project Road Map
o This will be a detailed plan complete with deadlines formulated to ensure that your senior project is done on time,
that it is the best it can be, and with as little stress as possible.
5-Year Plan
o 500 Words
o Detailing where you will be 5 years from today and what steps you will take to get there
10-Year Plan
o 600 Words
o Detailing where you will be 10 years from today and what steps you will take to get there.
30-Year Plan
o 700 Words
o Detailing where you will be 30 years from today and what steps you will take to get there.
College Application
o Each student will fully complete a college application to the school of their choice and will submit that application
o This is a requirement for passing this course.
Job Resume
o Each student will complete a polished resume that can be used and amended as necessary.
Life Story
o 1000 words
o This is your own narrative to be read aloud on the final day of class
