Application
Anionic basic emulsifier for the manufacture of
PVC, styrene-copolymers and graft copolymers
(SB-, SAN-, ASA- and ABS-plastics),
EVA-copolymers, polyacrylonitrile,
polychloroprene and other products
manufactured by emulsion polymerization
Manufacture of carboxylated styrene-butadiene
latices
Manufacture of binders based on
vinylacetate-homo-and -copolymers, acrylic-
homo- and copolymers, styrene / acrylic-homo-
and -copolymers for emulsion paints, emulsion
adhesives and surface coatings

Auxiliary product for mechanical latex foaming
Foaming surfactant for acrylic emulsions used in
the manufacture of carpet and upholstery
cleansing agents
In emulsion polymerization, DISPONIL SLS 101
special may be used alone or in combination with
alkyl benzene sulphonates (DISPONIL LDBS),
alkyl or alkylaryl ether sulphates (DISPONIL FES-,
DISPONIL AES-types), alkane sulphonates and
other anionics.
In the manufacture of plastic dispersions they are
mostly used together with nonionic emulsifiers such
as DISPONIL A, DISPONIL AAP, DISPONIL
LS, DISPONIL NP, DISPONIL TA and
TEXADRIL or in combination with protective
colloids. On account of the many possible uses of
the two products the amount required may vary
widely. For polymerization it is generally between 0.1
and 3 % AS but for foaming applications it may often
be higher.
