Subject: Motivation for a project

As final year project of mechanical engineering is very important regarding completion of

degree and is one of the tool for practical knowledge learning. Before a week ago we were told
about an interesting project regarding utilization of this waste energy into some useful form, this
project idea had developed a great deal of interest among our group mates to take this project as
a challenge to check our abilities and interest in this field.
As we know that today industrial success secret lies in minimizing energy losses and utilizing
maximum fraction of it in useful way. This one reason makes this project more useful and very
interesting to be tackled. Moreover our group interest in subject of heat transfer is also motive
force for us to take this project very seriously. Heat transfer is commonly encountered in
engineering systems and other aspects of life and one doesnt need to go very far to see some
application areas of heat transfer.
This project is deeply related to our course of heat and mass transfer and on broad view our
mechanical engineering. so we are fully motivated to work on it as it will enhance our practical
approach, trouble shooting approach, way to interact and to deal with the industrial environment
problems. This will greatly increase our practical, industrial on field knowledge which is now a
days extremely important to be called as a successful and complete engineer.
Regarding working strategy on this project, first we have to study whole problem very closely
and deeply and then figure out the ways to utilize this waste energy in some useful way. We have
to check merits, demerits of every solution to make it completely successful. We have to employ
different engineering techniques to utilize this waste energy into useful processes like power
generation or in any other heating process.
It is very much true that as long as we have the integrity to do something, we will always
produce a good result in the end. But we can't neglect the fact, that the better the opportunities,
the better result we can get. We have a good team and we have been doing different projects
together in the past which will encourage us further. We are responsible and highly committed
and will put in all the effort to ensure the success of the project.
