Ing. Maurizio Milan Maurizio Milan graduated in Civil Engineering in 1977 and since then, he has been involved in the design, supervision and completion of complex works, also using unconventional materials such as pre-stressed stone, structural glass, glued laminated timber, bamboo, terre pise, light alloys and composite materials. He has taken part in numerous projects both in Italy and abroad, in collaboration with world-famous Italian and foreign architects, completing over one thousand works to the day. In 1982, he founded Favero&Milan Ingegneria which he left in January 2013 to set up Milan Ingegneria S.r.l.. From 2002 to 2008 he was professor in the Structural Engineering Masters Programme at the Polytechnic University of Milan. Since 2007, he has been teaching Structural Design at the IUAV University in Venice and, since 2013, he has been tutoring the six young architects of Senator Renzo Pianos G124 working group, who will be involved in the transformation of Italian suburbs.
Arch. Katia Gasparini Architect, PhD in Architectural Technology, works between Venice, Verona, Milan. Degree at Universit Iuav di Venezia with a thesis on Media Buildings, the Ph.D. activity is focused on Media-Architecture and digital technologies for Media Facade. Researches are published on national books and International Conferences. National Scientific Qualification 2014-2018: Associate Professor of Design and Building Technology. Professional activity Freelance architect, in 2004 she founded the architectural studio Knemesi. The previous jobs experience is on executive design for social housing and tall buildings, industrial design and communication. Actually she works on architectural and interior design, renovation and restoration, with a specific training in the new technologies of color and light for public space design and valorisation of cultural heritage. The professional activity includes design for public and private buildings, social housing, urban screen and temporary architecture. The consultancy activity is focused on new technologies and system for the architectural facade media facade- and the smart materials for the valorisation of cultural heritage. Research activity The research activity are focused on environmental quality and architectural innovation, color and light technologies for contemporary architecture, innovation and smart technologies with low environmental impact for the valorisation of cultural heritage. Lecturer and researcher at the Universit Iuav di Venezia and Milan Polytechnic in the course of "Technological innovation for the building envelope". Member of the Research Unit "Color and light in architecture" of the Universit Iuav di Venezia, founder and co-director of Screencity - International Academic Journal, member of National and International Advisory Board. Author of more than 70 publications including books, papers and articles.
