GOOD AFTERNOON!

Feeling of greatness and dignity
reign in my heart for you had chosen me as
your Guest of Honor & Speaker of todays
significant occasion, the 66
th
Commencement
Exercises.

Before I go further with my speech,
may I first congratulate the graduates,
for today marks the attainment of your
dreams. Today is a proof that you have
surmounted the challenges of elementary

education. Itoy karangalang inyong
naipunla, bunga nito ng inyong aktibong
partisipasyon, dedikasyon at determinasyon
sa klase sa kabila ng ibat-ibang hamon
bilang studyante.

Secondly, I want to congratulate your
parents & guardians for you are now
harvesting the fruit of your sacrifices.
You have done a big part in molding these
children from their birth until this very
moment. Kayo ang naging inspirasyon nila
upang mapagtagumpayan itong anim na taon
sa elementarya.

The next persons whom I would like to
congratulate are of course the teachers.
You have successfully done great
responsibilities in bringing these
children to what they are now. Your
undying love, guidance and commitment to
teach these children have made great
changes in their lives. We can say that

they are now better persons because of
you.

Wala pong kapantay ang inyong
sakripisyo at dedikasyon sa trabaho.
Mabigat na tungkulin ang paghubog sa
kamalayan ng mga kabataan. Batid ninyong
edukasyon ang sisiguro sa magandang
kinabukasan ng kabataan, na sila ang
magsisilbing gabay sa pag-unlad ng ating
komunidad at pagiging kabalikat sa
pagtaguyod sa ating hangaring magkaroon ng
tunay na pagbabago.

Building the Nations Future Leaders
Through the K to 12 Basic Education or the
K-12 Basic Education Program Tungo sa
paghuhubog ng mga Makabagong Lider ng
Bansa ito ang akmang tema ngayong hapon.

Marami ng dekada ang nakaraan ng
unang imungkahi ang pagpapalawig sa Basic
Education. Taong 1925 nang isinagawa ang

kauna unahang survey na nagpakitang hindi
sapat ang sampung taon ng Basic Education
para ihanda ang estudyanteng Pilipino sa
mundo ng pagtratrabaho.

The transition to the K to 12
education system means change for everyone
involved especially to you my fellow
youth. When graduates leave schooling
after year 12 they will be better,
educated and that bit more mature. They
will be even more ready to take place in
our communities and to make excellent
careers for themselves.

The improved education leads to a
whole new world of opportunity which
graduates will be ready to embrace. The
standards of everything we do in this
country will improve and be able to
provide leadership in your chosen field.
In turn it will develop the next
generation.

Hindi ito dagdag pasananin sa inyo
kundi magandang simula at isang hamon para
sa kabataang Pilipino. Dahil kayo ang
magiging puhunan ng bayan kaya nila ito
itinataguyod dahil sa susunod na
henerasyon masasabing bawat isa ay lider o
modelo ng bayan sa anumang larangang
inyong tatahakin.

Parents I urge you to be supportive
and send your children to school until
college. Ikarigatan yu kuma ida a

Sa kahirapan na nararanasan natin
ngayon, malaking tulong ang edukasyon. Ito
ang inyong sanggalang upang labanan ang
anumang balakid na haharapin. Dahil sa
paghubog ng karunungan at abilidad na
hatid ng K-12 tiwala ang gobyeryo na
handang sasabak at lulusong ang ating
gradweyts.

Dont ever think that only the honor
students are the intelligent ones because
everyone has our own potentials. If you
want something, put your heart into it.
Set your goals and strive to attain it. I
believe that we make our own future. I am
here today because of education and
foremost hard work. And now Im giving
back the gratitude to the community that
was very supportive to me. I hope that
someday, you will do the same. Always
remember that Education is dignity, your
assurance to have a progressive life. This
is your investment to achieve prosperity.

Bilang pangwakas, naway patuloy ang
pagabay ng Maykapal sa atin tungo sa
paglalakbay sa hanay ng edukasyon para sa
makabuluhang kinabukasan ng kapwa ko
kabataan.

MARAMING SALAMAT PO at Muli, ang
aking malugod na pagbati at pagsaludo sa
inyo gradweyts. MAHUBAY ANG KABATAANG
PILIPINO!
