1. Will fewer Indonesian students be attracted to medicine as a career? I think for now, most of Indonesian students will be attracted to medicine as a career because a doctors profession is one of the profession that is famous and many people have interested in this profession. There are many people that interested to be a doctor because now there are many disease everywhere, all over the world. So being a doctor is one of the profession that promising to have a good life. But maybe someday if the technology is more modern and more sophisticated, fewer Indonesian students that will be attracted to medicine as a career. Because if the technology getting more modern and sophisticated, maybe doctors profession will be not that important because sick people can use the technology to make them better and they dont need doctor anymore to make them healthy.
2. Will quality of medical students be lower? It depends on the university that teach the students, because if the university have a bad quality in teaching their students, it makes the students cant be a good doctor and the quality of future doctor can be bad and lower from time to time. But beside the quality of the university, the study behaviour of students also influence their quality. So if the students have a bad study behaviour it can makes the quality of them be lower.
3. Will most physicians work as employees for private care corporations on a salary basis? I think it depends on the reason and the purpose of physicians to do their job. If the physicians wants to be a doctor only for money maybe they can work as employees for private care corporations on a salary basis, but if the physicians wants to be a doctor because they want to help people and make them to get a good health without make money their priority to do their job, the possibility to work as employees for private care corporations on a salary basis is very little.
4. Will routine procedures that physicians perform be taken over by nurse practicioners and allied health care workers? If we see the reality that happened now in the medicine world, we can see there are many doctors that trading on the nurse to do the routine procedures because they think their nurse can do the procedures in a good way because they already did that often, and maybe they are too lazy to treat the patients by themselves. But if they do that, they are not a good doctor because a good doctor always wants to do their best to their patients.
5. How will these changes effect doctor-patient relations? I think these changes absolutely will effect doctor-patient relations, these will change the relations between doctor-patient into a bad relations because if we want to be a good doctor we have to make a good relationship with our patient in order to know our patient better and make them comfort with us. Because if they feel comfort with us and if we have a good relationship with our patient, we can treat and know them better.
6. Will there be increased competition for patients by health care organizations and groups of physicians? Yes I think there will be increased competition for patients by health care organizations and groups of physicians, because nowadays there are a lot of people that getting sick. And now, people also need a lot of money to live their life. So it is one of the reason that makes health care organizations and groups of physicians compete to get a profit as much as they can.
7. Will increased corporate control and consolidation of health care reduce the autonomy and influence of community boards and local groups of physicians? Yes the increased corporate control and consolidation of health care will reduce the autonomy and influence of community boards and local groups of physicians, because the increased of corporate control and consolidation of health care make the physicians cannot give a good medicine to their patients if the medicine is not the medicine that own by the corporate company, although the medicine is better.
