Grandmaster Professor Gary Dill, who has the rare honor of being one of the few

devastating Hapkido joint destruction and brutal takedowns!
The costs are not just for the seminar, but it includes the lunch and afterwards a cook
out where all participants can enjoy comradely in the martial arts and hang out around
the bond fire!

you, and additional flyers to give away. In addition, on this page we have listed all the
local hotels in the area in an interactive map, from the cheapest to the exclusive.
As for family members who would like a small vacation while you participate in the
seminar, we would like to note that the largest indoor water park east of the Mississippi
Tactical Hapkido River is in Erie not to far from the seminar location. But it books up quick so if you are

James took over the instructor duties at the Oakland school, but Bruce was still the

Kaukauna James was 20 years older than Bruce and was the elder of the JKD clan as well as being
Fall River the "second in command" of the JKD group. James had converted his garage to a
private martial arts studio, and conducted Jeet Kune Do & Gung Fu classes to a small
exclusive group of ten or less students. As such, Sifu Dill was fortunate to be accepted
as one of these "ten" inner circle students in 1971 & 1972.
James handpicked all of his students, and he interviewed Professor Gary Dill for over
two hours before accepting him as one of his personal JKD students. The selection
process was stringent since James only took those students who were sincere, open-
minded, and willing to train hard and give him 100% effort in class.
Professor Dill is also a fully certified grandmaster of Bushido Kempo, and received
official rank recognition from mainland China as an 8th Degree Black Sash in Chinese
Wu Shu.
Besides the martial arts, Professor Dill has spent many years in law enforcement,
serving as a federal intelligence agent, state police criminal investigator, and as a chief
of police. He is a Vietnam veteran, and served in both the US Marine Corps and in the
US Navy, and was a special agent with Naval Intelligence (NIS).
And he will be coming to our podcast show to discuss Jeet Kune Do, Bruce Lee,

Tactical Hapkido and Best Defense – Updates:
Filming Begins this summer:
A pre shooting meeting will be held in April with all the Best Defense producers,
associate producers and members.
The tentative shooting schedule begins on July 18th for the full documentary version of
the Best Defense in our charter school run by Master Ronald Joseph in Chagrin Ohio.
The shows focus will be those techniques for those who are wheelchair bound or
disabled; and adult sparring. Darryl Johnson will host these episodes with the Hapkido
practitioners will demonstrate techniques for those who are wheelchair bound or must
use a cane for mobility.
Who will be there: Master Ron Joseph Kenpo Jujitsu (and Tactical Hapkido Charter)
Grandmaster Barry Rodemaker, Master Dr. Doug Brown and Master James Ziots,
Tactical Hapkido
Tim Roy and Michael Baker, The wheelchair martial artist and wheelchair participant.
The Right Path Foundation has agreed to act as a fiscal agent for the Best
Defense Internet series.
The Right Path Foundation is acting as the Best Defense fiscal agent will allow
individuals and organizations to receive a tax credit when they give to the Best Defense
General Fund, which should have a "big impact" on fund raising efforts.
The Right Path Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization founded on the
premise that children of all capabilities and socioeconomic backgrounds can benefit
from an environment of kind discipline, team dynamics, learning opportunities, quality
leadership and positive mentoring.
Hikia Dixon, Executive Director for for the Right Path Foundation, is very committed to
the Best Defense Internet Series mission which is, "seeking to empower the disabled,
women, and children through the use of Martial Arts disciplines."
Ms. Dixon has also agreed to lend her considerable media experience to Best Defense
and co-host several episodes.

New THA Charter Member Area

We have a new secured Charter Membership area on the Tactical Hapkido
Alliance website.

This site will provide our valuable members to get their gup certificates and
black belt certifications online. In addition you can get your co-branding DVD
at charter rates, where your school logo or name will be on the cover of the
video, at charter prices.

Tactical Hapkido’s You-Tube Contest –Winner Takes All!
Just a reminder that we have a friendly competition within
the Tactical Hapkido Alliance. We would like to have
instructors in the alliance create a video of you showing off
the Tactical Hapkido techniques with in a realistic
environment. You can take any creative measures you
would like. This is a winner-take-all contest for the video
that gets the most views on the You Tube, on the Tactical Hapkido’s website and votes
by viewers.
The winner will win the next training videos that cover Tactical Hapkido’s trapping,
knife and stick. This also includes the Sharkee knife as part of this package.
Videos are to be submitted to Grandmaster Rodemaker by email or mail and he will
load this on our new Tactical Hapkido You-Tube channel. You can visit the THA website
for more details or contact Grandmaster Rodemaker if you have any questions.

The double impact seminar will be filmed and the event will be placed up on you-tube
for the world to view!

Current Promotions and Services Available to Members:

Tactical Hapkido Alliance Bibles for Martial Artist:
Tactical Hapkido Alliance has established Bibles for Martial Artists. Staying true to the
Christian believes that this organization was founded on, Grandmaster Rodemaker is
asking for voluntary donations to cover the purchase of the bibles and for shipping.
There will be information placed on the THA website where individuals can send their
name and address to get their free New Testament Bible.
This donation is not tax deductable and is purely voluntary.
Any donation made will be greatly appreciated and will be used to fully fund this outreach
program.
We have received numerous donations with a host of people signing up to receive their
free Bible.
As such Grandmaster Rodemaker would like to say thank you for your support in this
outreach service.

Tactical Hapkido Alliance Prayer Team:

As stated in our first podcast, Firm Foundations, we are a unique organization unlike
anyone else that stands true to what the THA was founded on. As such we would like to
let everyone one know we are establishing a Tactical Hapkido Alliance prayer team
consisting of any one who would like to be a team member.
We realize that these are trying times and we would like for everyone that receives this
newsletter that you are not alone and are a part of our family. If there is anything that
you need prayer for all you have to do is send an email to
prayer@tacticalhapkido.com and our team members will include it in our prayer
meeting.
Please include at least what you need prayers for and everything else is optional.
From our beginnings we have seen doors swing wide open that we never anticipated and
had prayers answered in way we never expected by solely trusting in the Lord.

helped you in your time of need and for everyone to see how the Lord works in His
mysterious ways.

Grandmaster Barry Rodemaker is offering his years of experience in making available to
all charter members a proven system of methods and personal hands on advice put into
one package, which is operating wildly successful at the THA headquarters.
The package will include, among many other items, two lead boxes, personalized lettering
system, local marketing assistance, and one on one assistance anytime with Rodemaker to
aid in building and keeping your student base.

Customized Email Address from the Tactical Hapkido Alliance:

Using the latest in email forwarding technology, now all Charter School Owners, your
Instructors and sanctioned Tactical Hapkido Alliance representatives can now customize
their emails for free with out changing a thing.
Our THA Information Technology team can set up this service where any email sent to
Your_Name @ Tacticalhapkido.com will be forwarded directly to your original email
account.

Tactical Hapkido Alliance Instructor Honor Roll Program:

Tactical Hapkido Alliance has established the Instructor Honor Roll program for those
instructors who are showing the most active dedication in the alliance.
Instructors can achieve this honor more than once a year and the honoree will receive,
from Grandmaster Rodemaker himself, an honor certificate to place in your school and
he/she will be honored with an article in this newsletter.

Combat Services Manual for Charter School Owners:

The Tactical Hapkido Alliance has a special

operating manual specially designed for
Combat Services personnel. This manual
was made for military, intelligence, police
and security personnel who have to get the
training quickly and thoroughly on top of the
training they already received. This manual
takes all the techniques in the regular
manuals (white to master series) and breaks
the techniques down to 8 main concepts. In
this manual the instructor is to teach the
concept and then the student will apply it to
a variety of situations by examples.

Upcoming Promotions and Services:
Tactical Hapkido Alliance Knife, Stick, and Trapping Drills being Edited!
A whole new video / manual series is currently being edited by Grandmaster Rodemaker.
The video series will demonstrate to the instructor and student how the core curriculum of
Tactical Hapkido can be applied to the 9 planes of motion during a knife/stick attack in
addition to how to apply the trapping drills during your training.
As a bonus feature of this package, the THA has secured a relationship with Sharkee
Knives where we can provide charter members this equipment below wholesale costs by
going through THA Headquarters.

THA Chaplain Corner: “Easter Hope”

Now after the Sabbath, toward the dawn of the first day of the week, Mary
Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the sepulcher. --Matthew 28:1

George Buttrick, writing in The Interpreter’s Bible, says, “They went to see the
sepulcher.” They didn’t go expecting to find anything other than an occupied grave.

“They did not expect God’s miracle of resurrection grace. Every account of Easter
confirms the fact that the followers of Jesus were surprised and overwhelmed by his
new appearing. His speech had been love and his step a benediction, but the end of it
all was a cross and a guarded tomb.” It surely seemed so to them.

“Unhappily (they may have said) it is that kind of world.” And then ...!

“And then ...” And then, Jesus arose! God’s almighty “Yes!” to the world’s puny “no.”
Jesus alive! God’s Will done, in spite of anything the world might do to stop it!

The powers of death have done their worst,

But Christ their legions hath dispersed!

“Still,” someone might say, “that all happened a long time ago and a long way from
where I live. I’m happy for Jesus, but what has that to do with me?”

“Nothing at all—apart from giving eternal life to us all,” we might be tempted to answer,
with a touch of irony in our voices, for the promise of eternal life is the greatest of God’s
Easter gifts.

But the skeptic’s question is still valid: “Does Easter speak to daily life?” Indeed it
does. Easter is God’s promise and sign that he is alive in his world, and that Divine
Love and the Divine Will are the most powerful things in the world. Easter testifies that
however things might look in the moment, God’s Will will be done. If there is now pain,
there will be healing; if there is now frustration, there will be resolution; if there is now
defeat, there will be victory. Easter is proof that our daily existence is of infinite value
and is, in the end, holy and good.

Happily, it is that kind of world!
