1.0 INTRODUCTION
The English Week is held in conjunction with Bulan Bahasa, 14
th
to 18
th

July 2014. The English Week, organized by the trainee teachers in
cooperation with all teachers of SK Selupoh , offer a number of
interesting language-based activities for all the students of SK Selupoh,
Tuaran.


2.0 ABOUT THE PROJECT

2.1 The English Week is held to fulfill the requirements of the internship that
are undergone by the trainee teachers.
2.2 The activities will be divided into lower and upper primary students.
2.3 The activities will be held from 14
th
July until 18
th
July 2014.

3.0 RATIONALE
The trainee teachers who undergo the internship are required to
implement activities related to curriculum or co-curriculum in the school.
Therefore, the trainee teachers who are undergoing their internship at SK
Selupoh have decided to carry out English Week.
As one of the ways for the students to be more interested with
English, activity such as English Week essentials to be executed so that
the students could use English confidently in their daily life. Through the
implementation of the activities, the students are anticipated to be able to
increase their performance in English.

4.0 OBJECTIVES
The objectives of the English Week are as follows:

i. To promote the use of English among students

ii. To encourage participation of students in school-level competition

iii. To identify new talents for school representatives

iv. To instill interest among students in activities related to the English
Language

5.0 ACTIVITIES
i. Word puzzle
ii. Reciting poem
iii. Spell it right
iv. Reading contest
v. Writing short stories
