INTEGRITANK HF
BORED TUNNELS
NATM, SEM & SCL
CONSTRUCTION
METHODS
Various systems have been used to attempt to
waterproof tunnels constructed using these methods,
but few have successfully addressed the particular
challenges presented.
The development of the Integritank HF system has
taken this uncertainty out of waterproofng bored
tunnels. Integritank HF is based on advanced resin
technologies developed specifcally for use in the
confned spaces and conditions of a tunnel construction
environment and for application between primary and
secondary concrete linings.
It is a robust, spray applied system, which forms a
seamless, intimate bond with the concrete so water
cannot penetrate through the membrane and circulate
behind it. Once the membrane has been applied, prior
to encapsulation it is tested using a non-destructive
electrical integrity test; proving it is 100% waterproof.
Integritank HF system is a spray applied waterproofng
membrane based on advanced resin technology which:
Provides a 100% effective, watertight membrane
Is proven watertight prior to encapsulation
Achieves a strong bond to the primary lining
Has a rapid and reliable 360 coverage
Is robust enough to withstand application of
shotcrete
Waterproof to >100 bar pressure
Is safe for use in confned spaces
Makes detailing simple
Eliminates weak and vulnerable seams
Has a service life to match the 100+ year design
life of a tunnel
Has excellent in-situ crack bridging capabilities

ELIMINATOR
Where suspended decks form the roadway or rail track
within a tunnel, the chosen waterproofng system has to
do more than protect the concrete slab from corrosion.
On a roadway it must also provide a suffciently strong
bond with both the substrate and the surfacing to
ensure the heavy braking forces of the traffc do not
cause the asphalt to deform and subsequently break
up. This requirement is even more critical in tunnels
as there is usually a much-restricted thickness of
asphalt, making the shear forces exerted even greater.
In addition, the system must be tough and resilient
enough to withstand the high temperatures and physical
pressure exerted by the asphalt application.
Eliminator is a high performance waterproofng system
which has been used throughout the world, which:
Provides a 100% effective, watertight membrane
Is proven through electrical integrity testing
Achieves a strong bond to both the concrete and
asphalt
Has a rapid application and cure
Is highly resistant to various aggressive chemicals
Is seamless
Can withstand application of surfacing or ballast
Has excellent crack bridging capabilities
