GATE 2015 notification are out !!!!
The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is one of the toughest test which is being
conducted in an all India basis. It tests the comprehensive knowledge of the various disciplines in
engineering and science.
Seven IITs,(namely-IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras and
IIT Roorkee)and Indian Institute of Science conducts GATE on behalf of the National Coordination
Board GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resources Development
(MHRD), Government of India. GATE 2015 will be organized by IIT Kanpur
As GATE is one of the toughest exam in India its score reflects the relative performance and is used
for admission to various PG programs.
GATE is an excellent examination to consider if you are keen on pursuing a career in Government
Job . GATE score are also used by various Indian public sector undertakings for recruiting graduate
engineers.
GATE score is also essential for obtaining financial assistance during PG programs and direct
Doctoral programs in Engineering / Technology / Architecture, and Doctoral programs in relevant
branches of Science in Institutes supported by the MHRD or other Government agencies. GATE
2015 score will be valid for three years from the date of announcement of the results
GATE 2015 will be an ONLINE Computer Based Test (CBT) and it will be held for 22
papers (i.e. Aerospace Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Architecture and
Planning ,Biotechnology,
Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology, Chemistry,
Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Ecology and Evolution, Geology
and Geophysics, Instrumentation Engineering, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Mining
Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Physics, Production and Industrial Engineering, Textile
Engineering and Fiber Science, Engineering Sciences, Life Sciences)
