! Manage social media accounts, assist in launch of new website and create multi-media content including
videos and photos.

TOUCHVISION TV, Chicago, IL | January 2013-July 2014: Planning Editor, Line Producer, Producer/Writer
! Helped launch a new 24/7 news network across TV, Internet and App from the first stage through
continuous programming in numerous markets.

! Worked as Planning Editor January-February 2013. Booked interviews, helped gather resources and come
up with future stories. Assigned production and airdates for pieces.

! Worked as Line Producer & Producer/Writer February 2013-Present. Produced all evening newscasts from
4PM until 12AM. Monitored and updated breaking news. Produced 4 to 6 newsmovies per shift.
Researched, wrote and storyboarded each newsmovie. Collaborated with graphics artists to produce
elements, found video and music for stories. Copy-edited scripts and reviewed pieces for air.

KOMU-TV, Columbia, MO | May 2009-January 2013: General Assignment Reporter, Producer, Production
Assistant and Anchor.
! Worked as a one-man band dayside reporter: shooting, writing and editing my own stories. Shot my own
stand-ups and appeared on-set. Tweeted several times throughout the day, put together two VO/SOT/VOs,
one PKG and a web story per shift. Reported on a wide variety of subjects from the six-month anniversary
of the Joplin tornado, to a groundbreaking of a smart home for a quadruple amputee to prosecutorial
misconduct and much more.

! Helped create the Social Media Desk for the show U_News@4. It was an hour-long newscast focused on
viewer interaction and viewer generated content. As a social media desk anchor, I asked our viewers
questions/opinions on newsworthy and popular topics via Facebook and Twitter. I worked with the
producer to choose topics/questions and then choose viewer comments to read on-air during the show.

! Produced a two and a half hour morning show, ten p.m. newscast and 6 p.m. newscast weekly.

! Anchored our National and World News segments using a touch screen map system. I also produced and
anchored cut-ins to the TODAY show as well as co-anchored our weekend newscasts.

WTVF-TV, Nashville, TN | June 2011-August 2011: Intern
! Chose and and wrote wire stories and local VO/SOTs for 5 PM newscast. Spoke with sources about
possible story ideas, helped reporters make calls on their stories, made beat calls, and shot stand-ups.
Shadowed reporters, producers and photographers.
Sciences-Po, Paris, France | January 2011-June 2011: Journalism Exchange Program
! Came up with story ideas around Paris and surrounding suburbs. Wrote 300-500 word stories each week.
Missouri Digital News, Jefferson City, MO | January 2010-May 2010: Political Radio Reporter.
! Worked inside the Missouri State Capitol. Attended committee hearings, full session and sought out stories
during the legislative session. My work aired on KMOX, the CBS affiliate in St. Louis and KBIA-FM, the
NPR affiliate in Columbia, MO.
