Auditor's Comments
Partial audit (13 of 26 files) of agency TCOLE Licensing files conducted with Sheriff Homstad on 10/15/13 and 911 Supervisor Nikki Ledesma on 10/16/13. Note that the Dispatch facility is housed in Knox
City at the Hospital while the Sheriff's Office is in Benjamin. Application is in the process to separate the Dispatch facility as its own agency. Listed documents missing from files with compliance required as
of 11/15/13. A preliminary copy of this audit was emailed to Sheriff Homstad, but did not include the deficiencies for Telecommunicator listed below. Ms. Ledesma was notified of those deficiencies and will
provide compliance directly to the Field Agent. During the course of the audit, the Sheriff was provided information on the TCOLE name change, School Marshal and Telecommunicator Licensing, LEOSE
funding, and eligibility of one Deputy for Basic Certification which had not been awarded. Copies of the Preliminary Audit, HB's 1009 and 1951, and TCOLE Information packet were emailed to the Sheriff
prior to the end of the audit. 2012 Racial Profiling Report submitted as required.
