Paul Hansons Custom Patches for the GT-10

Hi, Im Paul Hanson, a specialist at BOSS, and these are some of my custom patches.
Its probably a good idea to have your GT-10 Owners Manual on hand so you can refer to it if you
need help with any of the instructions in this document.
Here are a few uic! notes to get the best out of these patches and the "#$%&'
( Patches with )*+,- in the patch name are intended for stereo use. #o monitor the "#$%&s output
in stereo, connect the O.#P.# *+/O0O and , 1ac!s to two separate amps, or to left and right
channels on a stereo mi2er, multitrac! recorder, etc. 3ou can also monitor in stereo by plugging
headphones into the "#$%&s PHO04S 1ac!.
( Set the "#$%&s O.#P.# S4*45# setting for the type of device youre plugging into
6*I04+PHO04S, 5O/BO 7/P, 85$%9&, etc.:.
( 7ll my patches have effects assigned to the "#$%&s 5#* % and 5#* 9 pedals, so dont forget to
press them to see what they do.
Before You Begin
#o load these patches into your "#$%&, youll need to connect to a .SB$euipped computer
running ;indows <P+=ista or /ac OS %&.>.? 6or later:. #o prepare for this, youll need to do the
following'
( Set the "#$%&s .SB @river mode as follows'
%. Press S3S#4/ on the "#$%&s front panel.
9. .se the dial to select ).SB- in the display.
?. Press 57#4"O,3+40#4,.
>. .se the cursor buttons to select )@river /ode.-
A. .se the dial to select )7dvanced.- )P*47S4 ,4S#7,#- will be displayed.
B. #urn the "#$%&s power off and then bac! on again.
( @ownload and install the "#$%& .SB @river for your computers operating system. 3ou can
download the driver at the same place you downloaded these patchesCthe "#$%& @ownloads
tab at www.BOSS.S.com. Install the driver according to the instructions that come with the
download.
( @ownload and install the "#$%& *ibrarian software. *i!e the driver, you can get it at the
@ownloads tab at www.BOSS.S.com. Install the software according to the instructions that come
with the download.
( Open the GT-10 Librarian Manual 6included with the download: and follow the instructions in
)5onnections and Settings-- to connect the "#$%& to the computer, launch the "#$%& *ibrarian,
and set up the software for /I@I communication with the "#$%&.
Procedure for Using the GT-10 Librarian to Bac U! and Load Patches
%. Dirst, lets bac! up any user patches that youve already created. 6If you dont want to bac! up
your user patches, you can s!ip ahead to Step B.:
( #o bac! up all of your user patches, clic! the ,ead 7ll button in the /ain window.
( If you want to bac! up specific patches, select them in the /ain window, and then clic!
the ,ead Selected button. 3ou can select multiple patches with 5ommand$clic! 6/ac: or
5ontrol$clic! 6P5:.
Tip: Backing up a few specific patches takes less time than backing up all patches.
9. 7fter the *ibrarian has retrieved your patches from the "#$%&, go to the 4dit menu and select
0ew. #his will create a new empty library with the temporary name ).ntitled- plus a number
6).ntitled%,- ).ntitled9,- etc.:.
?. "o to the /ain window and select the patches that you want to bac! up. #hen, go to the 4dit
menu and select 5opy.
>. "o to the empty library window and select )4nd of *ine.- #hen, go to the 4dit menu and select
Insert.
A. 0ow, with the new library window still selected, go the Dile menu and select Save 7s. In the
dialog that appears, give your library a descriptive name and save it to a place on your computer
that youll remember. #his bac!s up all of your custom patches, and you can reopen this file to
reload them bac! into your "#$%& whenever you li!e.
B. "o to the Dile menu and select Open. In the dialog that appears, navigate to the
)"#%&E9&5stmPaulH- library file that you downloaded and open it.
F. In the "#%&E9&5stmPaulH window, copy the patches there and insert them into any 9& of the
9&& user locations in the /ain window.
G. In the /ain window, select the 9& patches that you inserted, and then clic! the ;rite Selected
button. 0ote' #his procedure will overwrite the e2isting "#$%& user patches in the selected
locations.
H. 7fter the *ibrarian finishes transferring patches to the "#$%&, close the *ibrarian program and
unplug the .SB cable from the "#$%& and the computer.
