Affirm Unifys Leadership
Every year, Gartner produces two closely
related and closely watched analysis
reports, its Magic Quadrants for Unified
Communications (UC) and Corporate
Telephony. These reports reflect, in
Gartners view, a vendors completeness
of vision for its respective solution and
its ability to execute on that vision.
Gartner plots each companys relative
position on a matrix, placing it in one of
four quadrants, from Niche players,
to Visionaries and Challengers, to
Leaders. How a vendor fares in these
reports impacts how it is perceived and
global enterprise customers pay attention.
Gartner describes Leaders as those
having a full UC offering, strong market
presence and demonstrate success in
the field. They have a strong presence in
related markets to expand their footprint
in UC. These vendors and their channel
partners have experience delivering UC to
a broad range of enterprise types and into
most geographic regions.
We are pleased to report that, once again,
Unifys OpenScape UC and Voice portfolio
has placed in the Leaders quadrant the
magic quadrant with an especially
strong position for vision.
In its reports, Gartner specifically
points out that Unifys OpenScape UC
and Voice portfolios are mature and
fully functional, that they integrate
with leading collaboration and business
applications (such as those from IBM,
Microsoft, and Google), and that our
portfolio has been proven to be effective.
We welcome their acknowledgement.
This recognition is gratifying, as it
acknowledges what we know that we
are not only visionary, but uniquely
so, and that we deliver on the promise
