Presidents Report

Ce fut une grande nuit Hobsons magasins. Le
thme de boudoir franaise a fait la nuit beaucoup
de plaisir.

So much for my High School Year 5 French, or
should I really say thanks to modern marvels like
Google Translate. For the Rotarians and partners
plus guests, Trevor and Anne, the reason they say
Beaumaris has great fun and fellowship was evi-
dent from all those who attended. I must say the
simple costume pieces added a new dimension.
The men with their moustaches had a totally differ-
ent look from what we are used to seeing!


My short poem I delivered goes like this for those
who didnt understand my French.

Le sable rouge est comme une mer sans limite,
Et qui flambe, muette, affaisse en son lit,
Une ondulation immobile remplit
Lhorizon aux vapeurs de cuivre o lhomme habite.

Trevor updated us on the Concourse Car event on
September 14
th
. He has a record number of en-
trants, so it should be a great day and one where
Rotary will be visible again in the Concourse.

Please remember to add in your diaries the Hamp-
ton Trivia night on Friday October 17
th
at the Sandy
Footy Club. We must show Hampton the same

Scott Walker from the SES will talk at our next
meeting and Rob Fenton will chair the meeting.
Trish will put her PE skills to the test as well
while Shirley and I relax at Mooloolaba for the
week.
