*ur #amilys e2perience with your #acility
began when my husbands sister became
a resident while waiting #or an opening in
another care #acility where my mother
was a resident.
:e had ta$en care o# both #amily
members in our home #or !uite some
time. 5y sister@in@law lived with us #or
seventeen years with cerebral palsy& and
my mother #or two years with l?heimers.
s any careta$er can tell you it really
ta$es a toll on you. 5y mother reached
the point where she could not be le#t
alone. She was #alling o#ten& was easily
con#used& deteriorating social s$ills& very
wea$ and we could not get her to eat.
These conditions lead us to the decision
to place her in a resident care #acility.
:hen a room came available #or my
sister@in@law to move& she e2plained that
she was very happy at Peachbelt and
would rather stay. She loved PeachbeltAA .
So we moved mother to Peachbelt.
decision #or which we have no regrets.
:hen we brought mother to you our
#amily was convinced that she would not
be with us #or long. %t has now been a
year and a hal#. Bot only does she get
involved in activities& she interacts with
the other residents. She has put on over
eleven pounds& laughs and smiles a lotA
She has always loved doing pu??le boo$s&
and that enjoyment continues.
5other constantly says to me i# you have
to live in a nursing home& this is the one
to be in." She constantly tells us how nice
everyone is& and how help#ul everyone is&
and we completely agree. The love and
concern shown by the staC at your #acility
goes way beyond the respect that anyone
would e2pect. 'ou were all so gracious to
'ou care #or many residents with many&
many diCerent needs. 'et we have never
seen any resident treated with anything
but the utmost respect and compassion
no matter how trying the situation may
be. The nursing staC is as attentive to
our concerns and needs as #amily
members& as they are to needs o# the
residents. *ther members o# the care
staC& dietary staC& maintenance and
social activities are e!ually responsive to
our needs& concerns& and re!uests. *ur
heart#elt than$s #or all that you do in
caring #or our #amily members.
%t is so nice to not worry that my mother
and my sister@in@law are in such caring
and capable
hands. gain than$ you to the entire
Peachbelt staC #or all you do. 'ou are
appreciatedAA
