bushbabies, hyenas, genets, hippo and

On an overcast day, the
Hluhluwe - iMfolozi Game
Reserve is the ideal place to
visit. Animals move around
and you can spot them

Did you know? Coelacanths
were once thought to be extinct
but were rediscovered in 1938.
The coelacanths that live near
Sodwana Bay rest in caves at
depths of 90m to 150m. The
average weight is 80kg and they
can reach 2m in length. Scientists
believe coelacanths may live as
long as 80 to 100 years

iSimangaliso must be the only place


on the globe where the oldest land
mammal (rhino) and the worlds biggest
terrestrial mammal (elephant) share an
ecosystem with the worlds oldest sh
(coelacanth) and the worlds biggest marine
mammal (whale)

the second-largest group of crocodiles
