FROM THE DESK

The situation in Pakistan at this moment requires urgent
intervention as floods are creating havoc in the region with
number of displaced persons on rise. Under the current
situation we have decided to cancel the Eidul Azha event and
are looking for suggestions to raise funds. We will just have a
BBQ for which the venue will be announced in next issue. At this
moment the tentative date is 12
th
October. For those members
who have requested information regarding Qurbani we have
included the relevant organisations on page 3.
Currently working on the acquittal of 17th August grant, it is a
pleasure to announce that a special event will be held on 15
th

November as part of Seniors Week, which is organized and
implemented by seniors in the community in which we expect
both Indian and Pakistani friends to participate. If you know of
any participant who should be invited please do send us their
contact details so a formal invitation can be sent. At this
moment we are waiting for the city of Stirling regarding the
venue and Mr. Sami Shah to confirm his availability.
Finally to all those who are now leaving or are about to leave for
Hajj ( muslim pilgrimage to Mecca), best wished from all of us.
Remember us in your prayers.
