FADE IN:

INT. MONKEYS ROOM EVENING

BAWETSZKY takes a tour around the room with his eyes as
ANTONIO ties his hands together. BAWETSZKY could feel the
suspense and the chill down his very throat, and his
overcoat. The look on his eyes grew darker with fear
bruising down his spine.

ANTONIO
Stop fidgeting BAWETSZKY.

ANTONIO checks the ropes once more before he lashes out
and takes a glance at JOHN.

JOHN
(Mirthlessly)
Why am I sent here?

ANTONIO
Relax, BAWETSZKY. You
Want some cool water?
Lemon? Anything to quench
Your thirst.

ANTONIO proceeds to empty his left pocket by bringing out
a walkie-talkie.

ANTONIO
(Continues)
And your fears.

BAWETSZKYS eyes grew darker with each passing second, as
he looks away from ANTONIO.

VOICE (V.O)
Is he here, ANTONIO?

ANTONIO
Mr. BAWETSZKY is here as of
Your inclined orders, sir.
He is in the chamber
Awaiting you.

VOICE (V.O)
Oh yes!
I will be there ANTONIO.
You keep Mr. BAWETSZKY warm, eh?

A flutter of electronic groans appears as the person on
the other side as they soon grind to a halt.

ANTONIO
I guess you heard the
Boss orders.

FEW MINUTES LATER

JOHNS eyes became pale as the thought of meeting his
previous employer came to mind, striking his peace of
thought. The door behind JOHN began breaching open.

VOICE
I will take this from here.

The FIGURE accepts the card given by ANTONIO as his
counter-part then leaves the room.

VOICE
(Continues)
So.

He tip-toes towards his desk lying in front of JOHN, as
his cape still covers his over-arching body. However,
JOHNS eyes knew trickery and disguise, yet he seemed not
to be fooled.

JOHN
(Murmuring)
Sir, my family
Is waiting for me.

FIGURE
(Exclaiming)
Oh shut your whining JOHN!

The FIGURE turns as the two meet their eyes. JOHNS legs
tremble at the sight of the FIGURES face with a scar cut
above his right eye. Within seconds, the FIGURE then
bursts into laughter.

FIGURE
Pardon my excruciating welcome, JOHN.
Youve known me since the break of
Dawn. Jesus
How fucking long ago was that?

JOHNS hands fidget once more as the sight still roughly
scares him a little.

FIGURE
(Continues)
Dont be a downer JOHN!
Get on up!

The FIGURE walks tenderly over around JOHN as he looks on
the facial expression that he was exuding. His captive,
or former employee seemed in pain from the excessive
tying by ANTONIO.

FIGURE
Oh, what a sad boy.
ANTONIO must have done this.
Its okay, I can make
This work.

The FIGURE then goes round the back and slowly unties the
rope and chains that was locked down by the man who had
left the room earlier. As the chains fell off, JOHNS
eyes was pierced through by the FIGURE.

JOHN
Sir

FIGURE
Your family is nothing to me,
JOHN. I want you.

JOHN
But-

FIGURE
(Interrupts/Whispers)
No. Disobeying. In my house.

Silence emerges thereafter before the FIGURE cracks into
hysterical laughter once more.

FIGURE
Im just kidding JOHN.
Ill let you go after a drink.
Trust me.

The FIGURE winks at JOHN as he slowly rises up from his
seat. With a finger raised, JOHN then reverts opposite of
his previous action.

JOHN
What drink?

The cautious voice of the captive contained fear and
expression to leave of this damned room.
FIGURE
Well

The FIGURE reaches out his hand, under his desk as he
pulls out a bottle without looking twice.

FIGURE
(Continues)
I have Bourbon!

He smites the drink onto the desk as if to counteract
JOHNS previous dialogue.

JOHN
MONKEY
I have to go. My family.

MONKEY
JOHN.
You mightve regressed, but this city
Would have been better had you been
In charge of the wastes running out of
Here, and you bossed it.

MONKEY points a finger to JOHN as he staggers his feet
closer towards his former employee.

MOKNEY
(Continues)
I admired people like you.
You had a brain, and you were smart.
Now, a bunch of twangs and fucking broad
Lunatics cant complete a fucking job.
Why? Simple.
They arent you.

JOHN paused to look up to MONKEY as their eyes meet for
the umpteenth time. JOHNS lips widened but MONKEY put a
finger from blowing.

MONKEY
(Continues)
Obviously, you wouldnt understand the
Loss of a man that would severe his own employment
To give it all up, would you?
You had everything you could possibly want here.

You made a good choice, a decision, and your
Contracts revoked. Simply put,
Youre getting out.

JOHN
Im sorry I need to go.
MONKEY detracts away from JOHN, as he slowly straddles
his feet forward to his desk, as JOHN looks on with pale
fear.

MONKEY
You called my name JOHN.
Repeat it.

JOHN
(Murmuring)
MONKEY.

MONKEY
(Slowly)
Louder.
Much, much, louder.

JOHN
MONKEY.

MONKEY
Arent you my ELEPHANT, hmm?
We ran this corporate shit pile back
In the day. You and me.
Along with Antonio, Red,
Dean, Laurie, Lira and Margaret.
Now its a shit hole,
Where criminals are fed shit,
And treated like shit.

MONKEY looks on as JOHNS glances at his watch once more.
He then proceeds over to his desk and picks up a red
ribbon-tied box. JOHNS attention glistened at the sight
of the object.

MONKEY
Youve been a great servant to me,
JOHN. This here, is a present I want to
Send you to give to your family,
And you. Enjoy it.
Its for all those years youve been
Here with me, that I give it back.

JOHN
I dont want it.

MONKEY
Oh JOHN. This is my gift.
You NEED to accept it.

MONKEY moves over and shoves the present to JOHN.

MONKEY
(Continues)
Why dont you do what
Your men have done before you,
And accept this fucking gift.

MONKEY pats JOHN on the back as he looks at the weirdly
wrapped present.

MONKEY
(Continues)
And tell JENNIFER that you will come
Back when you can, okay?
This city needs you.

MONKEY gestures a smile as he cocks the walkie-talkie to
one side as he returns to his seat at the desk. The door
opens to ANTONIOS shadow hovering at the entrance as he
looks at JOHNS present.

ANTONIO
Gone so soon? And you
Even got a present from MONKEY.
How pleasant.

JOHN
Bye ANTONIO.

JOHN, feeling relieved, takes another step into the dark
horizon out of Criminal City.

ANTONIO
You let him go?
Just like that?

MONKEY
Why dont you sit your fucking ass down, ANTONIO.
Patience is like a fine wine.
The longer you wait, the better it tastes.
In my experience, its fucking gorgeous.

MONKEY bends and twists in his chair as he zips another
walkie-talkie from underneath his desk.

MONKEY
(Continues)
Sh dont ruin the moment.
Youll see.

CUT TO:

EXT. CRIMINAL CITY ENTRANCE EVENING

JOHNS eyes fixated outside of the city compounds as he
steps forward to his family, who are awaiting his
departure from conviction.

As he takes another step, a vibration hurdles into the
veins of JOHNS body. It was coming from inside of the
present.

MONKEY (V.O.)
Hey JOHN! I didnt have the chance to
Say one more thing before you left!
Im really sorry.

JOHNS fear slowly overshadowed his joy of finally
leaving Criminal City as he lifts up his free hand to
lift up the lid of the box. JOHNS eyes swelled as he saw
first-hand of the containments inside of the present
handed to him.

MONKEY (V.O.)
Have a safe fucking ride!

BOOM. The box exploded as flames erupted and enclosed
JOHNS position. Guards were called into investigate as
his family looked in horror. The guards then checked on
JOHNS body, but it was too late. Aghast of flames and
scars from his head to toe, there was no way back to
recovery for him.

The guards then notice the box that JOHN was holding, as
it contained a wooden box that was smeared by the flames,
but not broken. They cracked it open with their torches
as it contained a tiny slip of paper. It read:

JOHN BAWETSZKY
29 YEARS OLD
CONVICTED OF MURDERING SAM JURGESS
RELEASED: JUNE 29 2053
JUDGE DECLARED: FREEDOM

Near the bottom, another flipped slip of paper could be
found. This one read:

MONKEYS VERDICT: DEATH

The guards then slipped the paper into their pockets as
they waved for help. The guards then helped to lift
JOHNS body onto the stretcher but they knew that his
life was gone. MONKEY had secured yet another vanishing
point for himself as he works towards masterminding the
scaffolding of the city itself.
The worst is yet to come.
