Business Development Manager - Work Boats
JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Group Business Development Manager in Singapore, the BDM for work boats will be responsible for and take leadership of all new workboat related business development activity internationally including meeting sales objectives set by sales & marketing and the executive team in conjunction with the strategic road map and business plan. There will be an emphasis on Strategic Marines core workboat range which is predominantly crew boats, aluminium work boats (pilot, chase boats, high speed landing craft and general utility vessels). From time to time there will also be a need to work on steel work boats such as LCTs, general work vessels etc.
The employee will be accountable for developing and maintaining relationships with all levels of the supply chain; ensure regional sale's agents are performing against their agreed contracts; assist with overall tendering process; initiate and coordinate development of strategic action plans to penetrate new markets.
Workboat Experience, with emphasis on high speed aluminium vessels (experience in the Australian, SE Asian, Middle Eastern or African markets will be a bonus) Highly motivated 5 years minimum of experience in sales and business development with a proven track record of sales Proven ability to work independently English speaking Contract management and tendering experience essential Excellent presentation skills Strong industry knowledge Ability to relate & communicate with varying cultures, attitudes and chain of commands Willingness to travel
