GUIDELINES FOR PTPTN LOAN APPLICATION

A.WHEN IS THE CLOSING DATE?

B. PROCEDURES FOR ONLINE APPLICATION?

STEP 1 Open a CIMB PERSONAL SAVINGS ACCOUNT @ CIMB Bank
STEP 2 Open SKIM SIMPANAN PENDIDIKAN NASIONAL (SSPN) @
Maybank (IMMEDIATELY can apply PTPTN) OR at Bank Islam
Malaysia Bhd (BIMB) (NEXT DAY ONLY can apply PTPTN)
STEP 3 Buy a PIN NUMBER FROM BANK SIMPANAN NASIONAL (BSN)@RM 5
STEP 4 Log on to http://www.ptptn.gov.my/gateway/
Follow the instructions provided.
You are to ensure that all the personal details and
required information are keyed in correctly as any minor
errors may result in your application being rejected.
Ensure that you send your online application before the
closing date.
PTPTN will process your online application only after the
closing date.
STEP 5 PTPTN will notify you via email / sms OR log on to
http://www.ptptn.gov.my/gateway/
to check on your application status (approved or rejected)

C. WHAT DO I DO AFTER MY ONLINE PTPTN LOAN APPLICATION
HAS BEEN APPROVED?

You are required to submit the supporting documents stated below to the
PTPTN officer at HELP (photocopy on A4-size paper, single sided only). A copy of
the HELP offer letter and PTPTN loan agreement must also be submitted. The
PTPTN loan agreement is applicable to approved loan applications only.

1. PTPTN Agreement and its Letter of Offer (2 sets)
2. Maklumat Permohonan Pembiayaan (print @ Online Application)
(1 copy)
3. Students IC (1 copy)
4. SPM Certificate (1 copy)
5. CIMB Savings Account Details (1 copy)
6. HELP Offer Letter (1 copy)
7. UEC / STPM / A Levels / Diploma / Foundation or equivalent
(Certificate & Transcript) (1 copy)
8. Parents pay slip (latest) / BE Form (LATEST) / Payment Voucher OR
Pengesahan Pendapatan for housewife and retired parents (1 copy)
9. If applicable, statement of results (for students who are already in
third semester or completed year 1 and now in year 2)
(1 copy)

Submission date for these documents will be informed later. Please refer to the
Registrys notice board or your Departments notice board from time to time.


Important Note Students who are applying or have applied for the
PTPTN loan are required to pay their FULL course
fees due.

Confirmation of PTPTN loan approval is based solely
on the official DISBURSEMENT LIST sent by PTPTN to
HELP University.


D. HOW MUCH OF PTPTN LOAN WILL I GET?

This will depend on the applicants financial background and monthly income of
the family. You may refer to the table below as a guide:

Degree Courses

Income Range Loan Amount
Income < RM4K RM16,000.00 / Year
Income RM4001 to RM5000 RM13,000.00 / Year
Income > RM5001 RM10,000.00 / Year


Diploma Courses

Income Range Loan Amount
Income < RM4K RM8,000.00 / Year
Income RM4001 to RM5000 RM8,000.00 / Year
Income > RM5001 RM8,000.00 / Year


Mode of Payment
Payment will be made TWICE per year


Eligibility for the 2

Student must obtain GPA 2.0 and above

institutions before pursuing your study at HELP, you are
