The area south of Santa Barbara near Oxnard, CA. is in peak producton.
Green Peppers: Although they are slightly higher than last week, these local beautes from VA, PA, WV, and NJ are some of the best quality we have seen this year!
Cabbage: The volumes of cabbage coming out of East- ern harvests have driven the prices down and quality is outstanding! Watermelons: Red watermelons are stll coming out of Delaware with good prices but the volumes are winding down. Yellow watermelons are NOT a good buy and very difcult to source.
Green Bushel Beans: The quality is excellent from local farms in VA and PA. There are no issues with supply and the freshness comes from day picking and overnight ship- ping.
Grapes: Scarlet Royals are making a big splash with beautful quality and good prices. Green, black globes and lunch bunch are also in demand.
Local Peaches: We stll have peaches from VA, WA, and NJ, but supplies are thinning. Nectarines are winding down quickly! WATCH Berry Markets are on fre this week! From Salinas to Argentna, shortages abound.
Strawberries: Ridiculously high and tght. Demand exceeds supply and prices have skyrocketed. No stems at any price.
Blueberries: Winding down in Michigan and moving to Argentna but the price is up.
Blackberries: Very expensive from Guatemala.
Mangos: Mexico is fnished and the new Brazilian fruit is stubbornly immature.
Sugar Snaps & Snow Peas: High prices contnue with actve market out of Peru.
Broccoli, Broccoli Crowns & Caulifower: No real relief as prices contnue on the high side.
Iceberg & Romaine Letuce: Prices stll unusually high with school demand for processed letuce.
Small Size Oranges: Smaller sizes high and tght; larger ones are valencias.
Lemons: We have hit the peak with relief in sight.
KEEP IN MIND Candied & Caramel Apples: You know it is getng into the fall season when you sink your teeth into a candied or cara- mel apple. Just give us a couple of days notce and we can get all you want!
Cantaloupe & Dew Melons: Stll nice and ripe with west side sweetness but up in price just a bit.
Black Mission Figs: Volumes are excellent and prices are reasonable on these healthful and delicious morsels from May- wood Farms.
Asparagus: Peru is shipping all sizes and the quality is outstanding.
Avocados: We only have about two more weeks of California avocados and the prices are escalatng as the season winds down.
Green Leaf, Red Leaf & Boston Letuce: These leafy items are fresh, crunchy and a good alterna- tve price-wise to iceberg and romaine, which are high.
Celery & Carrots: No change from last week on the price of these must-have veggies.

Kitchen staples like green onions are not typically in such short supply but right now we are experiencing an extremely actve market with demand far outstripping supply and prices have more than doubled in a weeks tme. Corn: Nice local corn stll coming from Parker Farms in Virginia and Delaware.
Cucumbers: Excellent Eastern cukes stll making it to mar- ket with good prices and awesome quality.
Beefsteak Tomatoes: The crown picking is over and the sizes are on the smaller end of the spectrum but, its stll local summer tomato season!
Organic Heirloom Tomatoes: We stll have plenty of beautful heirlooms from Tuscarora at great prices.
