Introduction
Nepal is a fantastic place with
delicious foods and amazing
culture like the sports they play.
Nepals capital city is
Kathmandu. Its population is 27.47 million and its land size is 147,181
km2.

This information report will include History, Nepals most popular
trade, dishes, sport, climate, people, festivals and some amazing facts
about Nepal.
History
Nepal was founded on the 25
th
of September in 1768 by King Prithvi
Narayan Shah who came from India. Till that day Nepal was formally
under the rule of Shah Dynasty. Nepal was threatened by the British
Imperialism and East India Company that fell into war for two years
between 1814-1816. On the 28
th
of May, 2008 Nepal became a
Republic.
Popular Trades
Nepal mainly trades with India, also known as
very good neighbours. Nepal mainly trades
rice, oil, materials, paper and food grain to
India and some other countries like Australia.


Food/Dishes
Nepal has many dishes and a lot is made
from local produce. They are healthy and
delicious. Some beautiful dishes are a
Tibetan Momo (a dim sim dumpling),
Tibetan Potatoe curry, Moghui butter
chicken and Tibetan lentil soup. These
are some of many delicious dishes to
choose from.

Ingredients to make Momo
2 lbs. ground or mirce chicken/lamb/pork
1 cup onion (finely chopped)
cup cilantro, chopped
cup diced tomatoes
1 teaspoon garlic paste
1 teaspoon ginger paste
teaspoon turmeric
teaspoon timur(Szechwan pepper)
teaspoon nutmeg, grated
1 tablespoon garam masala/meat masala/ momo masala
3 fresh red chillies (paste)
4 tablespoon ghee or butter
Salt and pepper to taste

Well catching a football is
not really a sport, so Nepals
most popular sport is Cricket. The fun doesnt stop there; enjoy a
traditional fun game of Elephant Polo. Its so fun that you will
never forget the moment.

Climate

Nepal has mainly five major
seasons which are spring,
summer, monsoon, autumn &
winter. Summer which is
between May, June and July
and winter which is between
December, January, and
February are the two most
important months for Nepal.








People & Festivals
As you know Nepal has 27.47
million as the population and
everyone is apart of 101 ethnic
groups that each speaks over 92
different languages. Most of the 101
ethnic groups live in the capital,
Kathmandu.
Nepal celebrates a lot of festivals and
some of them are similar to Australia.
They celebrate New Years Day on
the 14
th
of April, Mothers Day on the
29
th
of April and Fathers on the 25
th
of August. New Year starts on
Baishkh which is the first month of the year and is celebrated in 9
different ways.
