Design for Developed and extended Design for Simplicity design critiquing software for designing
Automated products for automated assembly.
Assembly Compiled Design for Automated Assembly guidelines for Lucent-wide best practices in
product design and published it on the web.
Developed and implemented a Design for Automated Assembly diagnosis and design cri-
tiquing tool on Pro/ENGINEER software using Pro/Develop API & Pro/Toolkit in C/C++.
Optical Network Developed a design tool for optical network design to estimate the cost of wave-length
Design & drop at each node.
Optimization Performed optimization of the optical network for minimizing the cost of wave-length
drop at each node and made a comparative study of cost of a DWDM with OS96 cable
network against a larger capacity OS192 system.
DoCoMo BTS Developed a modular design solution for DoCoMo BTS assembly focusing on reducing
Modular Design assembly costs, material costs, and installation costs.
Performed FEA on DoCoMo BTS using PATRAN and ABAQCUS for structural stability.
Technology & Performed technology road-mapping on storage media and developed a business case
Business case for BCS Messaging evaluating the total cost of ownership for FC-AL, SAN, Flash memory,
analysis of and magneto-optical disk drives for the next generation BCS messaging product.

Voice over IP Evaluated the technical feasibility, quality of service, reliability of the data networks
