Responsibilities:

 Worked as a Structural Design Engineer for various offshore projects including FPSO’s and Platforms.
 Responsible for onsite, transportation, lifting and fatigue analysis of Topsides for Offshore
installation.
 Preparation for various design reports for topsides modules and design premises.
 Weight engineer for topsides including preparation of WCR (weight control weight).
 Preparations of Topsides MTO (material take off).
 Generation of detailed working Drawings for actual Construction / Fabrication in co-ordination with
the Structural Draughtsmen.
 Extent support to Structural Designers to achieve the desired targets within the specified time frame
 Worked as an interface between Structural Designer / Consultants and the Site Engineers /
Contractors to ensure smooth flow of operations.
 Provided FEED (Front End Engineering and Details) for various projects.
 R&D for choosing best lifting arrangement for lifting analysis for topside modules.

International Experience

April’08 – present – Saipem Energy Services, Italy

 Managed engineering interface details between New Delhi engineering team and Milan engineering
team for Aquila FPSO project.
 Coordinator for various subcontractor companies and vendors for different engineering and
equipments details.

 Responsible for design and analysis of topsides modules like pipe-rack, LER, Gas compressors,
production etc.
 Generations of detailed drawings for construction.

 Provided structural details for project bidding.

Projects Executed

 Gimboa FPSO

- Modelling and analysis of various topside modules including onsite, lifting and transportation
analysis on SACS.
- Design of pad eyes and other secondary structure including stairs, handrails deck plates.
- Fatigue analysis for modules equipped with equipments causing high vibrations.
- Weight analysis including preparation of weight control report for lifting.

- Generation of details drawings including connection details and pad eye details.

 Aquila FPSO (Milan, Italy)

- Provided engineering from FEED to detail engineering including all analysis i.e. onsite, lifting,
transportation and fatigue analysis.
- Hull deflection studies and implementing same for design of topside modules.
- Study of vendor documents and drawings provided for weight and location of equipment.
- Coordination with draughtsmen and sub contractors for generations of drawings for fabrication.

- Motion analysis of vessel for accelerations during transit and onsite conditions.

 TUPI PILOT-2 & PILOT-3 FPSO (Bid - Milan, Italy)

- Weight estimation of structural steel for FLARE module.

- Coordination with mechanical and piping department for structural issues.

 Chevron Field "A” FPSO (FEED)

- Modelling and analysis of power generation module using API-LRFD codes.

- Lifting analysis using 4, 6 and 8 point lifting using gap analysis for optimum design solution.
- Solution for reduction of steel weight for topside module by modelling and analysis of truss type
and pan cake type structures.

 ONGC Offshore Platform (Bid)


- Modelling and detailed analysis of well head platform for prebid stage in SACS using ONGC
structural design criteria part-2.

 RGTIL Onshore pipeline project


- Design of gas compressor stations including footings and equipment supports.
- Preparation of MTO
- Generation of detailed drawings for fabrication.

Feasibility Studies of first ever hydro power plant in state. Studies involving issues related to hydro
energy, construction problems, design issues and site issues.

Projects (Study related):

Structural project: “Design of 4 Storied School building”


Scope of project was to design Slabs, Beams, Staircases, Columns and Footing. Parameters like seismic
zone, soil bearing capacity, importance factor, beam and column sizes were considered in designing all
components of building. Use of software i.e. STAAD and AutoCAD was made for analysis and drawing
details.

Environmental Project 1: “Carbon Trading Potential in Bio Energy based Transportation Systems”
The thesis studied the feasibility of a million plus South Asian city shifting to bio fuels using credits
earned under Kyoto Protocol’s emission trading scheme.

Environmental Project 2: “Environmental impacts due to rapid urbanization of city beautiful i.e.
Chandigarh”
The extensive project involves detailed analysis of various kinds of data and parameters. The sources of
this information and data are the EIA reports , ground surveys, interviews, literature review and other
statistical method of analysis.

facilitates basic healthcare services to the unprivileged.
 Campaigner and spokesman for National Services Scheme (NSS) from 2005 to 2006.

Achievements

 Award for appreciation by Rotary Blood bank for successfully organizing blood donation camp in
2006.
 Won a total of 9 medals including 7 gold and 2 silver medals and also college colour during my
engineering (2002 -2006).

 Fastest and Smartest engineer award 2007 at STEP-UP day (Saipem Triune Engineering annual
function) for overall performing exceptionally well in projects.
 Selected among top 50 candidates for MTV roadies show (biggest adventure bike show in country).
 Received scholarship worth INR 50000 from HSLTA (Haryana State Lawn Tennis Association) for
performing well in sports and academics.

 Touring and travelling often involving hiking and trekking.
