Historical Society of Long Beach
HSLB Mission

The Historical Society of Long Beach is a nonproft
organization that collects, preserves and presents
local history. Using historical documents, photographs,
artifacts, and oral and writen stories we create exhibits
and public programs that connect people to the past
and to the place they live.
In 2008, Mayor Bob Foster told the story of a
local ranch hand shot under questionable
circumstances on a summer night in 1915.
Sponsorships are available for
each of the graveside character
presentations. Example
