This photo album was collated by Kotaro Kitazawa - a Kumagai contractor at Mitsushima POW Camp - and was used by the Supreme Commander Allied Pacific Headquarters in the Class B & C Yokohama War Crimes Tribunal trials. The photos were taken as the Japanese were concerned about so many prisoners dying and the photos were taken as momentoes to be sent to relatives of prisoners.
