The Evolution Halbrite Torque Anchor (also called the Halbrite No-Turn Tool) uses patented cam-type anchor blocks specifically designed to react to the torque loads created by a Progressive Cavity (PC) Pump. The more torque the pump generates, the harder the anchor blocks bite, ensuring the pump remains stationary.

Halbrite Torque Anchor Unmatched reliability at an economical price
Applications Anchoring Progressing Cavity (PC) Pumps Vertical and horizontal wells Features Robust, reliable design Rotational cam actuator and anchor blocks engage with right-hand torque. Anchor blocks have vertically cut features for rotational engagement Tool performance is not affected by wellbore deviation.
Description The Evolution Halbrite Torque Anchor (also called the Halbrite No-Turn Tool) uses patented cam-type anchor blocks specifically designed to react to the torque loads created by a Progressive Cavity (PC) Pump. The more torque the pump generates, the harder the anchor blocks bite, ensuring the pump remains stationary.
Reliable Operation and Release When torque is removed from the Halbrite Torque Anchor the anchor blocks release. When set properly, the Halbrite Torque Anchor has not failed in over 10,000 global installations.
Operation 1. Makeup the Halbrite Torque Anchor on bottom of stator. 2. Run to desired depth. 3. Land Dognut/Tubing Hanger. 4. Raise tubing two feet (0.6 meters). 5. Rotate tubing to right and hold torque in tubing. *Tool sets with turn to right* 6. Maintaining torque, lower tubing two feet (0.6 meters). Further rotation to the right will be required to maintain proper torque on tubing. 7. Maintaining torque, raise tubing two feet (0.6 meters). 8. Repeat steps 6&7 two or three times. (There will be an increased weight on weight indicator) 9. Maintaining torque, lower tubing and land Dognut. 10. Halbrite Torque Anchor is set.

Working the torque down to the Halbrite Torque Anchor ensures a proper setting. All torque is trapped between the dognut and the tool, preventing further movement in the tubing or pump.
To release the Halbrite Torque Anchor, simply release the torque. Specifications
