down stream facilities Sudanization
GNPOC is a Sudan government owned Petroleum Company which exploring,
producing, transporting & exporting oil crude.
Responsibilities:
Operation lined up Isolation- commissioning-troubleshooting-Diagnose
problem-cleaning & draining all routine checks for:
- Pumps (Transfer, recycle, skim pumps & feed pumps) (centrifugal pump/weir
& screw pumps);
- Engine type (2006-2008-20012 & 4012) Roll Royce;
- Start & stop Engine & sharing Electric Generators;
- Panel man (Ship loading and routine activities from SCS);
-liaises with the main control center to coordinate the transportation of crude
oil through the pipeline up to receipt from pump stations. Monitor status at each
pump station to understand which pumps are operating and at what rate
- monitor and controls the receipt of crude. Operate control panel for the
purposes of receiving crude to the various tanks liaising with area operators to
line up and / or switch tanks for receipt. Monitor levels, closing tanks
automatically or instructing area operators to close of tanks when necessary
Direct all crude loading operations according to received loading programs,
liaising with area operators and marine loading personnel for hook ups and
commencement of loading. Provides instructions at various stages of loading
-start stop pumps; adjust the flow rate as in the loading instruction
- operate of the metering station as per procedure; carry out the proving of the
meters liens for each loading.

- Switch over the loading tanks as per procedure/instruction
- Operate tanks mixers as per procedure and monitor /control tanks
temperature.
- Open/close loading system valves as required.
- Maintain close and clear communication with loading tanker.
- Record hourly stocks on board and compare with tanker figures.
- Record tankers time sheet.
- Calculate stop dip for loading completion and stop the loading at shore target
or as ship instructions if ship target is less
- Monitor on continuous basses all emergency equipment to ensure they are
displayed and maintained at an optimum state of readiness.
- Prepare the daily operation report, equipment running hours report, and the
daily permit status report.
- Monitor the operation of the terminal power plant and related utilities.
- Coordinates equipment shout down for routine maintenance /repairs work and
liaises with maintenance and area operators during equipment start-up
following such work.
- Co-ordinate from control room during any emergency, communicate to key
personnel
- Fully alert and fast response to any alarm and plant upset
