. While they were having the dinner, a strong breeze flew through the open windo

11) A man is on his death bed. He has two sons. All these years, he has treated
them equally and has not put any sort of discrimination between them. Now, he ow
ns a land which he wants to divide equally between his sons before he takes his
final breath. The only problem is that the land is not in any symmetrical shape
and thus cant simply be divided into two equal halves.
Can you figure out a method to divide the land without going through all the ext
ensive measurements such that both sons are happy with their share of land ?
The only way to divide the land without measuring is to ask one son to divide th
e land in two parts and then ask the other son to choose from the two lands firs
t. In this way, there is no chance of cheating and the division will be almost f
air.

15) For all the mathematical geniuses here is a Numerical Riddle.
A series of equations are mentioned and you need to find the value of the next n
umber i.e.??
8 = 88
7 = 70
6 = 54
5 = 40
4 = 28
2 = ??
If you see the pattern,
8 x 11 = 88
7 x 10 = 70
and so on.. 3 x 6 = 18
2 x 5 = 10
Hence 2 = 10
16) I possess two wires. Both of them have an inconstant thickness but both of t
hem burns completely in sixty minutes. The problem is that I want to measure for
ty-five minutes while using these two wires.
How can I measure if cutting the wire in half is not possible due to non-homogen
eous construction ?
It is not as hard as it seems.
I will burn one wire on both ends and the other wire at one end only. The first
wire will burn completely in thirty minutes and at that very moment, I will burn
the other end of the second wire and it will burn in fifteen minutes.
Thus both of the wires will be burnt in 30 + 15 = 45 minutes
17) Suppose you are sitting in an interview and
the interviewee asks you an aptitude question.
You have three buckets with capacity 4 liters, 8 liters and 10 liters
and you have a large tank of water.
Now you have to measure 3 liters of water precisely using those buckets.
How will you do it?
You cannot get 3 liters of Water precisely as you only have 4, 8 & 10 liters buc
ket.
Can't make odds from evens
18) Consider the situation that there is a pond where some flowers have grown up
and some bees are hovering over the flowers. Now read the following statements
carefully:
1. If each of the bees lands on a flower, then one bee does not get a flower.
2. If two bees share each flower, then there is one flower left.
Now, can you calculate the number of flowers in the pond and the number of bees
hovering over them?
There are 3 Flowers and 4 Bees
19) A simple logical interview question was asked to Rahul by the interviewee:
There is exactly one week between Christmas and New Year. Thus a New Year that o
ccurs right after the Christmas, happens to occur on the same day as Christmas.
But in 2015, Christmas will occur on Friday and New Year will occur on Thursday.
How is that possible?
Rahul was able to answer the question. Can you?
Read the Question Carefully.
It occurs because they are talking about Christmas and New Year of 2015 which is
25th December 2015 and 1st January 2015
