The GMAT Information Bulletin is prepared for people who will take the Graduate Management
Admission Test® to apply for admission to graduate schools of management. The policies and
procedures described in this edition of the Bulletin apply to all aspects of the GMAT program,
effective July 1, 1999. Fees are subject to change without notice.
The GMAT is sponsored and directed by the Graduate Management Admission Council®
(GMAC), a global organization of 131 graduate schools of business. GMAC creates awareness
of and extends access to management education. Educational Testing Service® (ETS®) consults
with the GMAC about general policy, develops test material, administers the test, and conducts
research to improve the test. Sylvan Learning Systems, Inc., administers the computer-adaptive
GMAT at Sylvan Technology Centers®.
The GMAT completing the essays and another between the quantitative
and verbal sections.
The GMAT is a computer-adaptive test (CAT) that is
available, year-round, at test centers throughout the world.
However, the GMAT program recognizes the fact that the
GMAT CAT is not available in a limited number of countries.
