September 28th Clothing Drive
Woodmont's Room in the Inn Season serving the homeless community kicks off on
November 1st. Our RITI team is hosting a clothing drive this Sunday with Thriftsmart,
a nonprofit thrift store benefiting local faith-based charities. Thriftsmart owns the
donation bin in the back parking lot and will donate $1 to our RITI clothing
closet for every 10 lbs of donations we give through the drive. Bring your own
filled bags (gently used items including housewares, clothing, etc..) to church on
Sunday and place them behind your car when you park - you do not need to fill up
Thriftsmart bags, any bag will do! Thriftsmart will do a sweep of the parking lot during
morning worship services. If you can't bring your donations in the morning, you
can place your bag in the donation bin.
Contact April Gung by emailing april.stevens320@gmail.com with questions about the
clothing drive. More info on Thriftsmart to follow in The Spire.
