Subject: PURPOSE OF COMING TO SOUTH AFRICA TO MEET WITH

HYDRAFOAM COMPANY

I write to inform you of my purpose of visiting your company in South Africa.

First, by way of introduction, I am the development officer of the Central

Papua Conference of the Seventh day Adventist Church in Papua New
Guinea. I look after any development mostly in terms of infrastructure. I
solicit funds and manage projects. The mission of our Church is to spread the
love of God to all mankind. Two of the best ways we do that is to provide
education and health services where we also show and teach the love of
God.

Infrastructure development and maintenance of existing infrastructure is a

huge challenge for my Church and Papua New Guinea as a developing
country. Building materials are very expensive to buy and so many services
such as health and education are delivered under very poor infrastructure.
My Church can do little at a time because finance is a problem. I have
thereby carried a thorough research to find out cheaper ways of acquiring
building materials so that we do not have to spend a lot of money. In my
quest I found an Australian guy who has been using your machineries. He
suggested that buying your machines is the best way to go. So I made a
submission to the government to assist us pay for your machines. They
approved my submission and I went straight to arranging to visit Australia
and see for myself before we could order it. After arriving in Australia, I found
out that your company is based in South Africa and not in Australia. I
checked to see if you have any agents here or not and whether or not there
was any company selling your products here. Unfortunately, I cannot find
any stores here that sell your products. Therefore, thank you for your
willingness to sponsor my trip to come over to South Africa to see for myself
your products when I asked for it. I have hereby outlined my purpose and
specific objectives of my trip to South Africa.

My purpose:
• To see first hand the clay brick making machines, be briefly versed
with its usage and advantages over buying building materials from
hardware shops.

Objectives:
 To see first hand the clay-brick making machines
 To be briefly trained on how it is used
 To discuss possibilities of opening markets in Papua New Guinea for
Hydraform
 To able to learn all your products and how these machines can benefit
my Church and country so that I can be able to determine the
machines that we need.

These objectives and my purpose basically encapsulates my reasons go to

South Africa and meet with Hydraform. I am sure that my visit will pave a
way for further trade between your company and my Church and my
country. Your company will benefit through its increased sales while my
Church and country will benefit through improved infrastructure.
