Background
1. Manufacture of semiconductor nuclear detectors to detect gamma photons,
very rarely done. Usually,
>> Surface Barrier Detector to detect the most positively charged particle
radiation, such as alpha particle radiation. (e.g. Am-241)
>> Diffused Detector to detect negative particle radiation, such as beta
particle radiation.

2. Nuclear detectors based on the interaction effects of radiation (Gas Filled

Detector & Sintilation Detectors (2)) has :
a) Relatively large geometric construction.
b) Require large power supply to be able to detect particle radiation.
c) The use detector unit is not portable.
d) Require a high linearity of a detector to detect gamma radiation photons.

3. In the future, is expected to replace surveymeter applied directly to the robot.

"Development of Nuclear Spectroscopy System Using Photodioda", and
published in the Journal of PRIMA Vol.1 No. 1 / April 1999: 5-10, implicitly
reinforces that use to make the detector photodioda Nuclear is still rarely
performed (3)..
