Re: Polling on the Michigan Senate and Gubernatorial Election
Date: October 2, 2014

A new Lake Research Partners survey among 600 likely 2014 general election voters in
Michigan
1
shows Democrats in a strong position for victory in November. Both Gary Peters
and Mark Schauer have improved their position over the last month. Peters leads Terri Lynn
Land by 9 points in the U.S. Senate race 45% to 36%, with 18% of voters undecided. This is
an improvement over the 4-point lead Peters held last month.

Vote for Michigan U.S. Senate

The Governors race is very competitive, and the race has now closed to a 1-point margin.
Rick Snyder leads Mark Schauer 44% to 43%, well within the margin of error, with 12% of
voters still undecided. This is an improvement over the 8-point lead Snyder held last month.

Vote for Michigan Governor

The new poll shows clearly that Gary Peters is well on his way to becoming Michigans next
U.S. Senator, and Mark Schauer has closed the gap in a very competitive gubernatorial
election.
