The Call To Worship

~ Psalm 146:1-2 & Psalm 145:1-3 ~

Leader: Praise the Lord! Praise the
Lord, O my soul!

Unison: I will praise the Lord as long as
I live; I will sing praises to my God
while I have my being.

Leader: We will extol You, our God and
King, and bless Your name forever and
ever. Every day we will bless You and
praise your name forever and ever.

Union: Great is the Lord and greatly to
be praised, and His greatness is
unsearchable!

Prayer Of Adoration

Songs Of Praise & Worship

Blessed Be Your Name

Blessed be Your name
In the land that is plentiful
Where Your streams of abundance flow
Blessed be Your name

Blessed be your name
When Im found in the desert place
Though I walk through the wilderness
Blessed be Your name

Every blessing You pour out
Ill turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in
Lord still I will say

chorus
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name

Blessed be Your name
When the suns shining down on me
When the worlds all as it should be
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be Your name
On the road marked with suffering
Though theres pain in the offering
Blessed be Your name

Every blessing You pour out
Ill turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in
Lord still I will say

(repeat chorus)

bridge
You give and take away
You give and take away
My heart will choose to say
Lord blessed be Your name

(repeat chorus)

More Than Conquerors

When my hope and strength is gone
You're the One who calls me on
You are the life, You are the fight
That's in my soul

Oh, Your resurrection pow'r
Burns like fire in my heart
When waters rise, I lift my eyes
Up to Your throne

chorus
We are more than conquerors
Through Christ
You have overcome this world, this life
We will not bow to sin or to shame
We are defiant in Your name
You are the fire that cannot be tamed
You are the power in our veins
Our Lord, our God, our conqueror

I will sing into the night
Christ is risen and on high
Greater is He living in me
Than in the world

No surrender, no retreat
We are free and we're redeemed
We will declare over despair
You are the hope

bridge
Nothing is impossible
Ev'ry chain is breakable
With You we are victorious
You are stronger than our hearts
You are greater than the dark
With You we are victorious

Holy, Holy, Holy

Holy, holy, holy!
Lord God Almighty!
Early in the morning
Our song shall rise to Thee
Holy, holy, holy! Merciful and mighty!
God in three persons, blessed Trinity!

Holy, holy, holy!
All the saints adore Thee
Casting down their golden crowns
Around the glassy sea
Cherubim and seraphim
Falling down before Thee
Which wert and art and evermore shalt be

Holy, holy, holy!
Though the darkness hide Thee
Though the eye of sinful man
Thy glory may not see
Only Thou art holy
There is none beside Thee
Perfect in powr in love & purity

Holy, holy, holy!
Lord God Almighty!
All Thy works shall praise Thy name
In earth and sky and sea
Holy, holy, holy! Merciful and mighty!
God in three persons, blessed Trinity!
Call To Repentance &
Renewal

~ Psalm 145:8-9 & Romans 2:4 ~

Leader: The Lord is gracious and
merciful, slow to anger and abounding in
steadfast love. The Lord is good to all,
and His mercy is over all that He has
made.

Do you presume on the riches of His
kindness and forbearance and patience,
not knowing that Gods kindness is
meant to lead you to repentance?
Prayer Of Confession

~ Silent Confession & Reflection ~

The Words Of The Gospel

~ Psalm 103:10-12 ~

Leader: He does not deal with us
according to our sins, nor repay us
according to our iniquities. For as high as
the heavens are above the earth, so great
is His stead-fast love toward those who
fear Him; as far as the east is from the
west, so far does He remove our
transgressions from us.

Song Of Response

I Stand Amazed (How Marvellous)

I stand amazed in the presence
Of Jesus the Nazarene
And wonder how He could love me
A sinner, condemned, unclean.
Singing,

chorus
How marvellous! How wonderful!
And my song shall ever be:
How marvellous! How wonderful!
Is my Saviour's love for me!

He took my sins and my sorrows
He made them His very own
And He bore the burden to Calvary
And suffered and died alone

When with the ransomed in glory
His face I at last shall see
Twill be my joy through the ages
To sing of His love for me
The Prayers Of The People
For The Church & City

Leader: Let us pray.

Unison: Our Father in Heaven, hallow-
ed be your name. Your Kingdom come,
Your will be done, on earth as it is in
heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread, and
forgive us our debts as we also have
forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into
temptation, but deliver us from evil.

For the kingdom, the power, and the
glory are yours, now and forever. Amen.

& Offerings

Song Of Preparation

All Creatures of our God and King

All creatures of our God and King
Lift up your voice and with us sing
Alleluia, Alleluia!
Thou burning sun with golden beam
Thou silver moon with softer gleam
O praise Him, O praise Him
Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia

Thou rushing wind that art so strong
Ye clouds that sail in heavn along
O praise Him, Alleluia!
Thou rising morn in praise rejoice
Ye lights of evening find a voice
O praise Him, O praise Him
Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia

Thou flowing water, pure and clear
Make music for thy Lord to hear
Alleluia, Alleluia!
Thou fire so masterful and bright
That givest man both warmth and light
O praise Him, O praise Him
Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia

And all ye men of tender heart
Forgiving others take your part
O sing ye, Alleluia!
Ye who long pain and sorrow bear
Praise God and on Him cast your care
O praise Him, O praise Him
Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia

Let all things their Creator bless
And worship Him in humbleness,
O praise Him, Alleluia!
Praise, praise the Father
Praise the Son,
And praise the Spirit, Three in One
O praise Him, O praise Him,
Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia

The Point Of Pain

2 Corinthians 12:1-10

Rev. David Fletcher
Songs For Communion

We Hunger and Thirst

Exalted Son of glory humbly came down
Wounded for the broken
Bore the sinners crown
Through the willing death You died
You became our Bread of Life

chorus
Jesus, we hunger and thirst for You, Lord
As we remember Your sacrifice
We see the wounds from Your hands
And pierced side
Extravagant love! Oh how great the price
Now our lives are Yours

The priceless blood of Jesus
This gracious cup
A life spring overflowing
Poured out for us
He has conquered every sin
For the ones who trust in Him

(repeat chorus)

bridge
The cup we drink, the bread we eat
Reminds us You are all we need
And makes us long for Your wedding
feast

(repeat chorus)

Praise the Father, Praise the Son

O sovreign God, O matchless King
The saints adore, the angels sing
And fall before the throne of grace
To You belongs the highest praise

These sufferings, this passing tide
Under Your wings I will abide
And every enemy shall flee
You are my hope and victory

Our Confession Of Faith

~ Philippians 2:5-11 ~

Leader: Let us confess our faith
together

Unison: We believe in our hearts and
confess with our lips that Christ Jesus,
being in very nature God did not
consider equality with God something
to be grasped but made Himself
nothing, taking the very nature of a
servant, being made in human likeness.

And being found in appearance as a
man, He humbled Himself and became
obedient to death even death on a
cross!

Therefore God exalted Him to the
highest place and gave Him the name
that is above every name, that at the
name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the
earth, and every tongue confess that
Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God
the Father. Amen.
The Benediction
~ Hebrews 13:20-21 ~

Leader: Now may the God of peace who
brought again from the dead our Lord
Jesus, the great Shepherd of the sheep, by
the blood of the eternal covenant, equip
you with everything good that you may
do His will, working in us that which is
pleasing in His sight, through Jesus
Christ, to whom be glory forever and
ever.

Unison: Amen!

Potluck Sunday: TODAY!
On the first Sunday of every month, we celebrate a meal together after the service.

We want to be intentional in seeking to build relationships and our monthly potluck

Sunday School Update:
Sunday School classes will begin October 19th immediately following the service,
ending at 12:30. There are no classes on Potluck sundays. We are running 2 classes
this year (K-Gr. 2 and Gr.3-6). We are unable to accommodate any Pre-K or
younger siblings at this time.

Concert of Prayer:
Our Concert of Prayer generally occurs on the second Sunday of the month. We are
rescheduling this month due to the long weekend & a previous booking at the centre.
Join us in three weeks, October 26th, for a time of worship and prayer training as
pastor Mike leads us through a time of guided prayer. This is a perfect time to learn
more about prayer, to learn how to pray and how to pray together as we seek Gods
blessing on our church and on our city. Nursery and childcare are available.
