ASSESSMENT OF THE CHURCH
Revelation 1:4-11 NIV
John, To the seven churches in the province of Asia: Grace and peace to you
from hi m who is, and who was, and who is to come, and from the seven
spirits before hi s throne, and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness,
the firstborn from the dead, and the rul er of the kings of the earth. To hi m
who loves us and has freed us from our sins by hi s blood, and has made us
to be a kingdom and priests to serve hi s God and Father to hi m be glory
and power for ever and ever! Amen. "Look, he is coming with the clouds,"
and "every eye will see hi m, even those who pierced hi m"; and all peoples on
earth "will mourn because of hi m." So shall it be! Amen. "I am the Alpha and
the Omega," says the Lord God, "who is, and who was, and who is to come,
the Al mighty." I, John, your brother and companion in the suffering and
kingdom and patient endurance that are ours in Jesus, was on the island of
Patmos because of the word of God and the testi mony of Jesus. On the
Lord' s Day I was in the Spirit, and I heard behind me a loud voice l i ke a
trumpet, which said: "Write on a scrol l what you see and send it to the seven
churches: to Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia
and Laodicea."

Q7. Are We Holding On To Sound Teaching?
Revelation 2:14-15, Revelation 2:20, Revelation 2:24-25 NIV
Nevertheless, I have a few things against you: There are some among you
who hold to the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to entice the Israelites
to sin so that they ate food sacrificed to idols and committed sexual
i mmoral ity. Likewise, you also have those who hold to the teaching of the
Nicolaitans. Nevertheless, I have this against you: You tolerate that woman
Jezebel, who calls herself a prophet. By her teaching she misleads my
servants into sexual i mmoral ity and the eating of food sacrificed to idols.
Now I say to the rest of you in Thyati ra, to you who do not hold to her
teaching and have not learned Satan' s so-called deep secrets, ' I wil l not
