This document contains reflective journal entries from a presentation on Project Quality Management (PQM).
The presentation covered the three components of PQM - quality planning, quality assurance, and quality control - and their inputs, tools/techniques, and outputs. The journal notes that understanding how these components integrate throughout a project's lifecycle was particularly insightful.
Some slides contained too many words, hindering comprehension. Examples and diagrams were also lacking. To supplement, the writer referred to an additional book containing such examples.

There is an old saying You dont know what you know till youve written it down. These words clearly explain the main idea underlying reflective journals and learning which have become widespread tools in the contemporary education facilitating the optimization of the studying process. This work provides reflections of PowerPoint presentation on Project Quality Management in the form of reflective journal and in the form of reflective learning diary. Reflective Journal The given PowerPoint presentation dwelt on Project Quality Management (PQM), its component parts: quality planning, quality assurance and quality control, and their detailed description. For me, the significant aspect was the explanation of the three PQM components that is their inputs, tools and techniques and outputs. This helped me to deeper understand how project management integrates with quality management throughout different phases (Plan-Do- Check-Act). The provided information might be quite useful in my further studies as well as in my life because the algorithm of PQM process is suitable for many business spheres, processes and services. I feel rather satisfied with the context. I liked that the information was delivered on the slides in a clear and laconic way which promoted easier material retention and understanding. One of the drawbacks is that some of the slides were overcharged with words that prevented information perception. Another flaw of the given material is the absence of examples of various diagrams (cause-effect diagram, Pareto and Scatter diagrams), flow charts, checklists, and especially no vivid example which could illustrate the whole PQM process in work. That is why, I can say that the presentation was informative but, to some extend, dry. There were no obvious gaps in my knowledge that had to be plugged but I still had to look for examples in order to Clients Last Name Goes Here 2
visualize and to better understand and remember the provided educational material. For this purpose I referred to the book Project Quality Management: Why, What and How (2005) by Kenneth H. Rose, where I found all the lacking elements I needed. Reflective Learning Diary I did the PowerPoint presentation on Project quality management (PQM), its components: quality planning, quality assurance and quality control, and their detailed description. I did it in order to improve my knowledge in economics and in management field proper. The supplied information was rather useful for me because it explained, exhaustively, the three PQM components with their inputs, tools, techniques, outputs and their complex interaction. I enjoyed the presentation and the chosen topic. I approve much that the information was furnished on slides plainly and concisely though still some slides contained too many words disturbing material comprehension and retention. Besides, the presentation lacked examples, particularly those of different diagrams, flow charts and checklists which could make it much more interesting and explicit for the watcher. From the presentation I have learnt that PQM has to do with customer satisfaction, prevention over inspection, management responsibility and processes within phases (Plan-Do- Check-Act). PQM components are quality planning, quality assurance and quality control each of which include inputs, tools and techniques and outputs. The main goals of PQM are: to meet the requirements of the product quality and at the same time conform to the wants and needs of the customer as well as to that of the stakeholder; to produce a quality product with less cost; to prevent inspection and rework; to detect and remove failures already at the planning stage. The next thing I would like to do is to try to manage a virtual project or at least find a good example of the like in order to see PQM in work.
