The Lakshmi Vilas Bank Ltd. located in Salem main road Kadhaparai,
Karur. It was started on third November 1!" b# seven board o$ directors
with the paid o$ capital o$ %1&&&. The administrative o$$ice also has one o$
the re'ional o$$ice. It has !%( branches all over India.
)b*ectives o$ the stud# are to $ind out the satis$action level $or the
per$ormance appraisal s#stem, to anal#se the level o$ achievement o$ the
ob*ectives o$ per$ormance appraisal s#stem, to estimate the bene$it o$ the
per$ormance appraisal s#stem to the or'ani+ation and to the individual.
The stud# is conducted b# surve# method usin' structured ,uestionnaire
with $ive point ratin' scale. Total population stud# was adopted. -ata was
anal#sed usin' simple percenta'e and chi.s,uare test.
The stud# had been conducted to anal#se the e$$ectiveness o$
per$ormance appraisal s#stem on the mana'erial emplo#ees o$ the
Lakshmi Vilas Bank Limited.
/$$ective per$ormance appraisal method encoura'es emplo#ees in work
and it also helps in improvin' their individual responsibilit# which in turn
improves pro$itabilit# o$ the or'ani+ation.

To $ind out the satis$action level $or the per$ormance appraisal s#stem o$
the Lakshmi Vilas Bank.

To anal#se the level o$ achievement o$ the ob*ectives o$ per$ormance
appraisal s#stem to estimate the bene$it o$ the per$ormance
appraisal s#stem to the or'ani+ation and to the individual.

The stud# adopted is descriptive research method. The ma*or purpose o$
this stud# is description o$ the state o$ a$$airs as it e0ist at present. The
surve# enables onl# to report what has happened or what is happenin'.
The method o$ research utili+ed in descriptive research are surve# method
o$ all kinds, to make a critical evaluation o$ the material.
SOURCES OF DATA
The sources are both primar# and secondar# sources. 1rimar# data were
collected b# means o$ administered ,uestionnaire. The ,uestionnaire
consists o$ particulars like reco'nition, opportunit#, trainin',
communication, etc.
2 'reat deal o$ primar# data were collected throu'h direct surve#. The
surve# method includes personal interview with ,uestionnaire.
Secondar# data were collected throu'h internal records and internal
