Sub : Appeal against Mis-guide & Return the Penalty Charged
With due respect, I draw your kind attention to the undernoted facts and solicit an early action.
I had decided to go to Angul fro Bhubaneswar by BBSR!Bolangir intercity with y son on
"#.$%."$&'. I tried to book a reser(ation ticket ")* days before but confir ticket not a(ailable. So I
reached at Bhubaneswar Railway station at about +.*$ a. on "#.$%."$&' and stood at the ticket
counter to book a general ticket. As there was hea(y rush at the booking counter due to ,u-a .acation, I
could not get the ticket before the train left at /.'+ a.. So I had to postpone y -ourney to
"0.$%."$&'. Then I en1uired at your 23elp4 counter regarding pro(ision of any ad(ance booking
facility for general ticket. They told e that ad(ance general ticket booking facility was a(ailable only
before 0 hours of train5s schedule departure.
Again I cae to the railway station in the e(ening and stood in line in front of 6ounter 7o." to
book a general ticket in ad(ance for BBSR!Bolangir inter!city train for the ne8t day orning i.e.
"0.$%."$&'. When y ter cae, I said to the lady staff in the counter that I would tra(el in the ne8t
day orning by BBSR!Bolangir intercity 9Train 7o.&"0%*: for which an ad(ance ticket was re1uired.
She booked the ticket but before handing it o(er to e, she tore it off and ga(e e another ticket. So I
with y son proceeded for Angul ne8t day on "0.$%."$&' at /.'+ a. in the said train. When I reached
at Angul the TT6 at the station did not accept the ticket and charged a penalty of Rs. /'$)!. I tried to
e8plain hi the fact in detail but in (ain. So both TT6 and e went to Station ;aster but could not
find any solution. <inally, I paid the penalty of Rs./'$)! proceeded for y work with a disturbed ind.
=nder these circustances, I re1uest your good!self to en1uire into the atter and take
appropriate steps for early settleent of the abo(e issue and reiburse the abo(e penalty aount by
which y ental agony, dignity as an eployee of a preier public sector Bank will be itigated.
