Overflow Practice, Sundays, 5:00 pm, FLC 122
Operation Christmas Child: Instead of having students bring items, we are asking students
to bring $10, which we will collect on Wednesday night, October 15. The money will be
used to pay for the items to fill the boxes and for shipping. Our OCC party will be on
Wednesday night, October 22. Our goal is 40 boxes!
HRIVE HRIVE HRIVE HRIVE T-Shirts: Cost: $8, Deadline to Sign up: Wednesday, October 8. Every youth
& youth leader needs to get a T-shirt. This is a way for you to take a stand for Christ & for
us to be identified as one on youth trips.
Ministry Opportunity: Feeding the Madison Central football team on Thursday,
OCTOBER 16, 5:45 pm, at the cafeteria at Central and giving a devotion. Need help
setting up at 4:30 pm, serving, and cleaning up. And we need people to provide chili for hot
dogs, baked beans, and desserts. Need enough food to feed 130 people. If you would like to
help, please let Dwayne know.
Gatti-town Lock-in, Friday, October 24. Cost: $25. Meet at church at 9:30 pm. Return by
6:30 am. Need male and female chaperones.
Fall Retreat, Friday, November 14 - Sunday, November 16. Camp Ocoee in Copperhill,
TN. Cost: $89. Includes meals, lodging, curriculum, activities (low ropes course & your
choice of horseback riding, paintball, mountain biking, or high ropes), bonfire, & smores.
Deadline (w/non-refundable payment & registration form): Sunday, October 19.

Red tubs are set out for collecting candy donations! One is in the FLC Foyer and the other
is in the Childrens Education Building downstairs by Lindas office.

Tell-Gate Sunday, October 26. Coaches John Revere (RB Coach at EKU) and
Tony Hatmaker (DC at EKU) will be giving their testimonies in the morning services.
After the 10:45 a.m. service, we will tail-gate in the lower parking lot (you bring side
dishes & drinks for your family & one extra for guests. The church provides the
hamburgers, hot dogs, & condiments). We will have a punt, pass, & kick competition for
the kids; prizes awarded for the best tail-gater, best appetizer, and best dessert. GREAT
OPPORTUNITY TO INVITE UNCHURCHED AND LOST FRIENDS!!!

The Powerful Impact of Operation Christmas Child!
In the mountains of Honduras, a team was organized to deliver shoe box gifts to a village of 1,500 people
that lived a 4 hour hike from the nearest road. hat an exhausting task that re!uired the team to hoist
"artons of gifts on their shoulders as the# "limbed the ro"k#, terra"ed path. It was an ex"iting da# when $%5
"hildren gathered to re"eive gifts...the first that man# of them had ever re"eived. &ne "ommunit# leader was
so moved b# the distribution and the 'ospel message that he offered a large tra"t of land to build the first
"hur"h in the area. (ow 'od is moving in % different "ommunities and it all started with $%5 shoe box gifts)

bo*es%% Boxes are available while they last at the special display. You will also find packing instructions,
packing item ideas, and a brochure with labels. This is a great outreach for families and children are
welcome to include a note or coloring page for their box recipient. Boxes may be returned for Dedication
