Effective Financial Management - Understanding Financial Statements

As part of the North Western Social Enterprise Hub this workshop will offer practical
advice and exercises that will help you manage and run your social enterprise in these
difficult times and prepare for the future. Ideal for directors, managers and staff of small
and medium sized social enterprises, this is your opportunity to access expert advice to
manage your business finances.

In this workshop, you will improve your ability to understand financial reports including
the Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss and Budget reports. Understanding financial reports
helps you manage solvency and risk issues and increases your ability to use financial
information to make strategic decisions for your organisation.

The focus of this workshop is on using your financial statements for more
effective management
It also provides practical guidelines for good financial management

Car Parking is available at the Pay and Display car parks located at Bishop Street (across
from Courthouse) and William Street. These car parks charge at a rate of 1 for 5 hours
parking.

This training workshop is free of charge and is part of the new Social
Enterprise Hub initiative. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
