1. TRAINING GUIDELINES:
1. Students #ould underta&e this (mmer-)raining programme only after successful
completion of the first year of the programme #hich #ould be of duration from ' to 1(

2. Summer"training consists of 2(( mar&s) and the distribution is given belo# *
Report Writing: 100 Marks

3. +efore starting the summer"training) students #ould have to register #ith the ,cademics
by filling up the Summer -roject Registration Form) as given in the Student .andboo&)
i.e. Form /o. 0.
0. Report should be submitted in the first #ee& of 1uly) 2(11.
2. -resentation viva"voce% #ould be arranged and conducted bet#een 1uly 11) and 1uly 13.
3. ,bsence from the scheduled session for the presentation viva"voce% #ould be resulted
into the dis4ualification of the student for evaluation.
5. 6ach candidate #ill have a time slot of 2( minutes for the presentation viva"voce%.

11. 6ach student #ill submit one hard copy of the project report Summer Training% in the
recommended format to the 7anager ,cademics% and soft copy in a $=.
12. The students are advised to &eep a copy of the report #ith them) as the copy submitted to
the !nstitute #ill not be returned.
13. The suggested structure of the report is attached. The report must follo# the structure.
10. There must not be deviation from re4uirement of reproducing the cover page of the
report from format prescribed.
12. The si>e of the report #ould depend on the project #or& done and it must be any#here
bet#een 2( to 1(( typed pages double space% on ,0 si>e paper #ith 12 font si>e.
13. The report must be hardbound in navy blue color covered #ith transparent polythene
sheet) and the letters on the cover page must be embossed in golden dye.
15. The report #ill be accepted by the 7anager ,cademics% only #hen it has been certified
by the concerned company guide that it is the original #or& of the student. ?ide* ".
Formats of #ertificates%
1'. The final draft of project"report should be completed during the Summer -lacement
itself. Students #ill complete the #riting @ typing @ computer #or& by themselves.
1<. !f any material in the report is pic&ed up from a source and the source name is not
referenced in the +ibliography section then it #ill be treated as a case of plagiarism.
2(. Aherever a 4uestionnaire has been used during the summer training) a sample copy of
the 4uestionnaire should be attached in the Appendi* of the report.
21. Students are advised to maintain a diary and record of daily events.
