Texas Parks and Wildlife

The Texas Parks and Wildlife (TPW) basically provides services for all things
outdoors. They offer service in anything from hunting and fishing to game warden
law enforcement rules and career opportunities. The website offers information on
the location of parks, fishing spots, hunting trips and biking trails. You can also buy
hunting and fishing licenses online. Any rules and regulations you need to know
about the outdoors the Texas Parks and Wildlife services can provide these for you.
The main mission for the TPW is to conserve the natural and cultural resources of
Texas and to provide hunting, fishing, and outdoor recreation opportunities for the
use and enjoyment of present and future generations.

Brazos River Authority

The purpose of The Brazos River Authority, or BRA is to develop and manage the
water resources of the entire river basin. Their recreational services include fishing,
canoeing, boating, and also safety courses. Other services are developing and
distributing water supplies, providing water and wastewater treatment, monitoring
water quality, and pursuing water conservation through public education programs.

Texas A&M Forest Service

The TFS provides forecast, analysis, and other information that is used by
firefighters and other state and local agencies. The TFS creates maps that show
areas of Texas that are at risk of wildfires based on factors such as droughts, they
also show the areas where burn bans are in effect. The TFS offers ways to prevent
fires online and tells you what to do in the case of a fire. This organization was
founded to assume direction of all forest interest and all matters pertaining to
forestry within the jurisdiction of the state. The mission is to provide statewide
leadership to assure the states trees, forest and related natural resources are
protected and sustained for the benefit of all. As far as services go, the organization
investigates arson with the highly trained K9s and alerts the public on the risk of
wildfires and how to prevent them. Also they provide developing programs to
address improvement of trees through forest genetics, reforestation land, and offer
hands on practices to ensure responsibly managed land for future generations.
