Lamar Band New Uniform Fittings for Returning Members, Incoming 2015 Freshmen & New Members

Middle School Band Parents,
Hi, this is Mr. Chitmon, Director of Bands at Lamar High School. I am contacting you to pass along some very
exciting & important information to you and your student regarding band at Lamar HS next year.
The Lamar HS Band will be getting brand new band uniforms next school year! This is a very exciting time for
our current band students at Lamar, and I hope your child will be excited as well.
If your child intends to attend Lamar HS beginning his/her 9th grade year, or if Lamar HS in in your childs top 3
choices for high school next year, we need to get them tted for their new band uniform. Even if you are unsure
that your child will gain magnet acceptance into Lamar, if your child at all wishes to attend Lamar HS, I
highly encourage you to have your child tted for a uniform.
Your child being tted for a new band uniform is not a commitment to attend Lamar HS, nor is it a guarantee of
acceptance to Lamar High School; however, it will guarantee that should your child attend Lamar HS in the Fall
of 2015, he/she will have a uniform custom sized for him/her.
By having your child being tted, he/she will have a new band uniform which will be made specically to t
them, for them to wear, and designed to accommodate their projected individual growth in height over the next
4 years in high school band!
Stanbury Uniforms will be holding uniform ttings at Lamar High School on
Tuesday, November 4th from 12:00 pm - 7:00 pm in the band room located in room N100 (North-100 in
the main building). Students do not need to bring their instrument, as they will only be tted for a band uniform.
I have included the design artists uniform design artwork for you and your student to look over as well.
Lamar High School is located at 3325 Westheimer Road in the area of Kirby & Westheimer and/or Westheimer
& Buffalo Speedway. The band room is most easily accessible by parking in the East parking lot, next to the
tennis courts (opposite side of the school from the large auditorium on the West side of campus). The spaces
state Reserved however the reserved status only applies until 4:00 pm.

*Lamar High School does not charge a uniform fee to the students family. Uniforms are provided for student
use at no cost provided the uniform is respected as school property, well cared for, properly maintained, and
returned to Lamar High School promptly after each use.
