TECHNICAL DATA SHEET Vetonit FINISH (WR) Water-resistant fine finish coat plaster I. PRODUCT ,. .. No. IS VETO NIT FINISH (WR) is a high-quality premixed fine water resistant finish coat thin wall plaster for wall and ceiling surfaces of concrete and blocks. As a top coat it shall be used only on water resistant base coats, such as VETONIT BASE (WR) or VETO NIT RENDER. VETO NIT FINISH (WR) is suitable for dry and wet interiors such as bathrooms, toilets and kitchens as well as for exteriors (Exterior Grade). 2. COLOURS The product is available in grey (Product No 150), white (Product No lSI) and super white (Product No 152). Also available in other colours (Product series No 1550-1580). 3. TECHNICAL DATA - Filler. Precisely graded crushed limestone fractions, maximum grain size 0 0.30 mm. - Type of binder. Portland cement ASTM C ISO. - Additives: Contains additives to improve consistence and workability. - Density: About 1.0 kg/ liter as dry powder, about 1.7 kg/ liter when mixed with water. - Coat thickness: For plastering purposes typically 0.5-2.0 mm/coat. - Coverage: Typically 0,5- 1,5 kg/ sq.m per coat of dry product depending mainly on the quality of the subsurface and the type of coat. Water addition: Normally 8-9 (10) liters/25 kg bag (36-40 %) or 18-20 liters of water for a Tumac spray pump batch of two bags. Packing: Delivered as a premixed product in 25 kg paper bags. Water to be added before application. Storage life: 12 months from the date of manufacture under proper storage conditions. Painting: Alkali resistant painting should be used. 4. PROCEDURES Eliminate draughts and maintain a sufficient humidity during the setting time. For interior application, close and cover windows and openings with e.g. polythene. Remove dust, loose particles, grease and traces of foreign materials. Prepare the plaster by adding the VETO NIT product to a measured amount of clean water. A suitable mixing time is 0.5-3 minutes depending on the type of the mixing equipment. Let the composition stand for IS minutes and mix again as above. Smaller amounts can even be mixed manually. Use the plaster mixture within 4 hours from mixing. If a fine texture is desired more water can be used than for coarse textures or smooth trowelled surfaces. - The plaster is now ready for application either by machine spraying or by manual trowelling. Different grades of textured finishes are possible when using the appropriate nozzle of the spray pump and different distances. - Tools and should be washed and cleaned with water after use. In hot and dry conditions the plaster should be cured with water spray during the first 2 days. For exteriors be sure to use VETONIT FINISH (WR) Exterior Grade only, and to cure properly. 5. STORAGE TheVETONIT products should be stored in a shaded and dry place.
