ROLLER NAMED OIPA
LEGISLATIVE AFFAIRS VP
James Roller has been named the vice presi-
dent of legislative affairs for the Oklahoma
Independent Petroleum Association.
In the position, Roller will lead the associa-
tions legislative outreach efforts on behalf
of Oklahomas independent oil and natural
gas producers.
Its a tremendous honor to represent OIPAs
2,800 members statewide, Roller said. Okla-
homa is blessed to have the economic engine
of oil and gas as a background for economic
growth and stability. I look forward to telling
that story and representing our members.
A native of Clinton and an Oklahoma State
University graduate, Roller most recently served
as a national technical sales representative for
Varel International Energy Services.
Previously he was the director of corporate
development and government relations for
Oklahoma City-based Chesapeake Energy,
handling the companys day-to-day govern-
ment relations efforts in Oklahoma and Kan-
sas.
We are extremely excited to have James
Roller join our OIPA team, said OIPA Chairman
Ronnie Irani, president & CEO of RKI Explora-
tion and Production in Oklahoma City. Roller
has a proven history promoting Oklahomas

of the industry and his wealth of experience
will help the OIPA better serve Oklahomas
independent producers and the companies
that support them.
