Figure 11 shows an experiment to investigate the factors affecting the swing of simple
pendulum.

Experiment is carried out according the following procedures
P1 : The metal bob is displaced through a small angle and let it go. At the same time, the
stopwatch is started
P2 : The stopwatch is stopped after 20 complete swings.
P2: The time for 20 complete swing is recorded
P3: Procedures P1,P2 and P3 are repeated to obtain a second and third reading. The time
for 1 complete swing is calculated
P4: The experiment is repeated using simple pendulum of different length as shown in table
4
