are the worlds top rated H

S scavengers.
M-I SWACO is a world class provider of
purification solutions. Our SULFATREAT
and SELECT
product in the lead bed. Use of SELECT HP
in the lag and polishing reactors ensured
that plant reliability was not compromised.
The Result
The reactors were loaded with the
on-site support of M-I SWACO.
With the system successfully
commissioned, regular contact has
been maintained and technical support
continuously provided to ensure
optimal system performance.
Single vessel
The most basic system design includes a
single vessel in which the inlet contaminant
concentration at the beginning of bed life is
reduced to non-detectable levels at the
outlet. Over time, the outlet contaminant
concentration gradually increases to a
specified level that indicates the need for
replacement. Temporary bypass of the
vessel or interruption of gas flow is briefly
necessary to replace the reactant media.
Lead/lag vessels
This system configuration provides
the greatest operating flexibility,
including configuration for continuous
operation. It allows for full utilization of
the media, improving overall removal
efficiency by as much as 20%.
Two vessels are arranged in series, flowing
gas through the first bed into the second.
The lead vessel acts as the working unit
to remove all contaminant at the beginning
of a treatment period, with the outlet
contaminant concentration increasing
over time.
The gas can flow to the second or lag
vessel for further decontamination, or
polishing. The operation of the lead bed
is similar to the single-vessel arrangement.
The second vessel can be placed in
operation at start up, or it can be used to
polish any contaminant remaining in the
gas from the lead vessel when the level
of contamination in the outlet stream
reaches the maximum specification.
Once the lead vessel inlet and outlet
concentration are equal, the media
is considered spent or exhausted.
Gas flow is directed to the second vessel,
while the spent material is removed from
the lead unit. The second vessel becomes
the lead or working unit with the new
media bed (in the former lead vessel)
now operating as the lag or polishing
unit - all without gas-flow interruption.
The lead/lag arrangement allows
more efficient use of the media
with no interruption in unit service
and greater process reliability.
Mobile units
The patented MOBILE SCRUBBER
unit
provides a solution for applications
that only require periodic attention.
The unit is designed for locations where
the required service and environment
prohibit any contaminant from being
emitted into the atmosphere, including:
Servicing 400 bbl tanks
Venting manholes
Plant turnaround
Gas flaring well testing
